Here, you can securely stow your biking or skiing gear before continuing on foot or snowshoe for the final 2.5-mile ascent to the summit. The gradual climb rewards you with stunning views of the Western Adirondacks, and the fire tower offers an even more spectacular vantage point, although access to the cab is currently restricted.
