"Great short hike, about 1 mile, to a fire tower. On a clear day the views would be amazing. Loved the map in the tower to tell you what you're looking at."
"I did this hike with my dog in April. It’s a shorter hike, great for kids and dogs. The fire tower has great views from the top. The road leading to the trailhead is a dirt road, full of potholes and bumps. It was a long, slow ride. The trailhead has 3 parking spaces, 1 handicapped, but you can park on one side of the road. I’d imagine it would get busy in the summer and you might be parking a little ways from the trailhead."
"2 mile out and back which spans uphill roughly the entire time. It packs a little punch for being a 2 miler. The wilderness is beautiful with all of the moss covered wood and boulders. The fire tower provided wonderful views of the Adirondack region. You can view the Stillwater reservoir from afar. Parking is seriously minimal."
"Beautiful hike! Our first of the fire tower trail challenge. Took us a little over an hour to hike up, take pictures and get back. You do have to drive on a dirt/rock road to get to the trail. Overall, a great experience!"
"Not a super easy hike. It's uphill pretty much the whole way. We got rained on, but there were enough trees that we didn't feel the rain for a while. Also, you have to drive on some rough dirt roads to get to the trailhead. Beautiful view and nice hike through the woods."
