Swan Street Diner
β ClosedLocated at 700 Swan Street in Buffalo, New York, the Swan Street Diner is a fully restored 1937 diner serving delicious breakfast and lunch. This diner car, No. 397, was manufactured by the J.B. Judkins Company of Merrimac, Mass and features mahogany trim, porcelain enamel walls and ceiling, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling. Originally operated as the Newark Diner near Rochester, N.Y., the Swan Street Diner has had three previous owners before being purchased by the Larkin Development Group for a full restoration. The Swan Street Diner is located in Larkinville, once home to the Larkin Soap Company, which made china among other products. The Diner team was able to purchase some of the last plates and mugs made by the Larkin Company for use in the restaurant, adding a touch of history to the dining experience.
