Welcome to Jerome Park Reservoir Gatehouse No. 5, a cornerstone of New York City's water supply infrastructure located at 3055 Goulden Avenue, The Bronx, New York 10468. Our facility recently underwent a comprehensive $15.7 million upgrade, completed by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), to enhance the resilience and security of the reservoir. This investment ensures that we continue to deliver a reliable supply of high-quality water to over 8.8 million residents across the city. The rehabilitation project, initiated in 2018, focused on the vital gatehouses that regulate the flow of water in and out of the reservoir. Improvements included refurbishing Gatehouses No. 5 and No. 7, cleaning and repairing brick facades, installing new security systems, and replacing the roof of Gatehouse No. 7. Additionally, historically appropriate lighting and railings were added to enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of the site.
