"I was there from 2009-2012. That's from 6-9 years old. I hated every second there. The "safety staff" were used excessive force. All the kids beat me and they did nothing to stop it. I was physically and mentally abused by the staff. If you read this, heed my warning. Don't send your kid here. It will change them, but not in a good way."
"Im going on 35 years old now, its been so long but I have my memories here. Learned to swim real good there. Remember some staff vaguely as well and all the same, good memories. Im going to be a driving for the first time soon and I plan to visit maybe get to talk to someone. I personally have nothing but good thoughts about that place. Coronavirus keeps me from a visit but when we get passed that ill pay a visit. 5 stars"
"I was in Astor Home from 82-84 I believe, I really don't remember much names of teachers and staff but I can say that it was great being there. I met a lot of great people. This place was amazing I would love to go back and visit and be an example to other kids that with faith and honest help your life can change. "Describe my experience it says, The Best !! I was there 83-86 Grace, Helen, Ruben, and big bill with his guitar, lol the memories, I need a retreat. So many of my greatest childhood moments where in Rhinebeck, I was baptized, played softball off campus probably the only one ever, definitely the first. Lolol. May God bless that place forever.. The nuns where amazing. So was father brogan at Good Shepard Roman Catholic church . Just very thankful."
