"My experience was similar to some of the other mothers here, and my heart breaks for them. I too was insulted and ignored while I was in labor. No one would believe that I was in labor, and no one helped me. No one gave me the drugs I asked for. When I asked for an epidural, they told me I couldn’t have it yet, because I wasn’t anywhere close to giving birth. They acted like I was weak and pathetic for asking so early. At one point a midwife openly mocked my pain tolerance, while her finger was inside my body. When the baby was coming, I had to beg them to listen to me, to believe me. I gave birth while still wearing my street clothes, with no drugs. The bed wasn’t set up for childbirth, nothing was sanitary or prepared for the birth. The nurses and midwives ran in completely surprised as my baby was born. No experience has left me feeling so worthless, so dishonored, so alone. There was a kind doctor who came in later and helped with my stitches, that’s all I can say. I hope mothers-to-be don’t go here. I hope the hospital does an overhaul of this awful place."

"Fantastic group of nurses, midwives, doctors, and various technicians. The staff was so incredibly supportive, communicative, and hardworking to ensure my wife had a successful birth (December 2023). Perhaps the best thing for me was the open communication discussed options for various options (induction possibilities, pain management, timelines for things, etc.) during labor. And the significant other can sleep in the room to be with mom&baby! I really, truly cannot provide a high enough recommendation for this birthing center to ANYONE in the Hudson valley or surrounding area. We live 45 minutes away and it was worth every mile!"

"It has taken me some time to make this review but it should be heard. I gave birth March of 2021, It was during the pandemic and I was completely alone. I was given an epidural around 6am as requested. I was not checked on until 12pm at that time it was discovered my water was broken for an unknown amount of time. I was pushed for 2 hours until birth. During that time it was an extremely unprofessional experience. The nurses were in and out of the room gossiping and chatting like I did not exist. One nurse even brought in a birthday card for the other nurses to sign while completely ignoring my contractions. I couldn’t feel and it was hard to see on the monitor behind me. I felt like an inconvenience to their work social lives. Being alone it was a difficult sleepless night after birth. On my second sleepless night I rang for help I was desperate for a couple hours of sleep. The nurse told me no one was available to help because everyone was busy. Completely drained and exhausted the next day I was forced to move to another room due to overflow. I never got to bathe or shower myself or my newborn there was no shower in the new room. I hope the staff at the birthing center can find some respect and professionalism for their patients."

"I delivered my first child here. Midwives were excellent, the doctor who delivered my child was so encouraging and upbeat. The nurses were kind, attentive, and empathetic. Everyone we encountered was empathetic and caring. Our doctor stopped in just to check on us before she left the following day and offered up more kind words. The midwife and nurse who helped me labor the day before I delivered also stopped by just to see how everyone was doing. Everyone was very kind, and also provided my husband with a positive birth experience. I felt listened to, supported, and like I actively had a say in every step of my labor. I truly felt safe and cared for, and that my best interests were at the forefront. I am so happy for the positive experience I had here."

"Fantastic birthing experience! Staff was incredible! Nurses were attentive but didn’t overburden you. The midwives were great! Jess delivered our son and was really fantastic at allowing me to be in whatever position I wanted. Food was excellent! Lactation consultants were great and answered all of our questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for a hospital birth! Nurses who weren’t there the day of his birth stopped by to see him if they worked the next few days while we were there. Pediatricians were also fantastic! Highly recommend!"
