Louis Engel Playground

Situated in the Old Village neighborhood, the park overlooks the Hudson River and features paved walking paths, benches for sunset viewing, picnic tables with grills, restrooms, a playground, and Ossining's only outdoor spray park. The park also has a stage for hosting events such as movie nights, live music, and other presentations. Throughout the year, Louis Engel Playground hosts special events for the community to enjoy. Adjacent to the Ossining Train Station, the park is conveniently located near the 3 Westerly Bar & Grill, Harbor Square apartments, Ossining Boat and Canoe Club, and Henry Gourdine Park. The John V. Chervokas Playground and Spray Park within Louis Engel Park is ideal for children of all ages, featuring play equipment, swings, slides, and more. The spray park was resurfaced in 2019 and operates seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with limited hours during Day Camp season. Additionally, the park offers kayak storage racks installed by Hudson River Greenway for public use. Parking is available along the front of the park, including metered and limited free street parking. Visitors can enjoy jogging or walking on the paved track, relax on benches, and cool off at the spray deck. The park does not permit swimming in the river, but the beach area is open for play. Fox Island Campground #1

This campground offers a unique experience for campers as it is accessible by boat only on Lake George.
