Macondo Tattoo is a private tattoo studio and artist collective located in Bushwick, New York. Founded by Chicano artist, educator, and tattooist Jon Gòmez, Macondo provides a space for emerging artists to develop their own style and practice. The studio offers a variety of tattoo styles including fineline, black & color work, illustrative, floral, black & grey, realism, surrealism, abstract freehand, ornamental, dot work, American traditional, hand poke, flash, limited color, cartoons, neo-traditional, and more. Flash tattoos are pre-designed by the artist and are priced based on complexity and duration. Custom tattoos are designed in collaboration with the artist and priced accordingly. The studio hosts Flash Days every Friday for smaller, pre-designed tattoos. A deposit is required for all services, and rescheduling is allowed with proper notice. Macondo Brooklyn is a Covid-conscious environment, with the team fully vaccinated and following CDC guidelines.
