"Saw Jillian Walker's Skinfolks, a beautiful sung and spoken reflection on life as a black person in America. The Start was a perfect venue for this work: warm, small and invitingly intimate."

"Awesome place! The relatively small theatre has a bohemian shabby chic, unlike the ones on Broadway but it is clean and absolutely suitable for the plays. I watched the “Singleton” here which was amazing, I would recommend it to everyone. If you buy the ticket online you will be admitted to the theatre based on a list with names, no need to print anything; this is not clear from the website."
