Join us for an "Over the Top" season filled with special events and commemorations. We proudly celebrate the 190th Anniversary of the LIRR, which has been operating under the same charter since April 24, 1834. Additionally, we honor the 60th Anniversary of the LIRR Allan Herschel G-16 Park Train, a beloved attraction that began delighting visitors at the 1964 New York World’s Fair.

Welcome to the Domino Sugar Refinery Shell, a unique fusion of history and modernity located at 314 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. This iconic landmark, originally a 19th-century sugar refinery, has been transformed by the innovative minds at Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) into a stunning 12-storey glass office building. The Refinery stands as a testament to Brooklyn's evolving architectural landscape, blending the charm of Romanesque Revival architecture with contemporary design. The centerpiece of the Domino Sugar Refinery site's redevelopment, this project, overseen by Two Trees Management, preserves the historic facade while introducing a state-of-the-art office environment. The new glass structure is ingeniously set within the existing shell, creating a harmonious balance between old and new. With metal beams anchoring the glass to the original masonry, this design allows natural light to illuminate the interiors and supports a vertical garden, enhancing the building's aesthetic and environmental appeal.

Experience a ride on our miniature LIRR park train from the 1964 New York World’s Fair, or step inside a 1960s LIRR caboose. Our historic Lionel Layout, with its 83 accessories, is a must-see for model train enthusiasts.
