"This place is an absolute joke. It is impossible to get a hold of anybody to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Also, my psychiatrist is very young and I feel like I know way more than she does. Also, my primary care knows way more about my medication than she does. I do not recommend this place."
"Scheduled an appointment with Mary Benhoff 2 weeks prior to my appointment. Life Stance called less than an hour before my appointment to inform me that Mary Benhoff has too many clients, and will not be taking my appointment. According to Alex on the phone, Mary Benhoff had cancelled our appointment 3 business days prior. But no one thought to let me know until less than an hour before my appointment. I rearranged plans at work to make this appointment, after being informed 2 days prior that I would be unable to reschedule without a charge. Little did I know Mary Benhoff had ALREADY CANCELLED on me when I made that call, the Life Stance people just didn't tell me. The idea that this institution is supposed to HELP with mental health while attending to their patients like this is laughable. If you can find any other provider, you'll be better off."
"Update: the Missouri coordinator for all Missouri LifeStance called back and apologized for the “misunderstanding” with no other addressing of specific critical concerns- shirking responsibility.I am intuitive there was no desire to take real leadership and ownership as the leader and no active listening and real empathy that wasn’t taken back because I asked for clarification and respect kindly, calmly and (not but) firmly. There were so many errors and Mistakes be being clear annd correcting is not a point of being difficult annd fragility in ego would be the only reason to take issue. Not the emotional intel level of a state wide coordinator I believe period, I had asked for me to clarify to have space to express what my concerns were because I have the right to. She said okay. Then stated I had no insurance and not providers “fit my needs” All the sudden they lost my insurance and didn’t have providers that could take treatment for CPTSD, depression and anxiety *****that is already under a controlled and good medication and counseling regime i just needed a new provider after ending work with my former psychiatrist. I am an LCSW that was a region coordinator for NAMI and coordinator for parts of 4 states. I know my needs are not extreme or not a good fit. They are maintained and my adhd meds were treat by my pcp and well controlled. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see right through the immature ego driven energy blasting from both Nicole and the regional director. Disappointing and yeah we are definitely a poor fit. I would have fired them anyways. Original concern: Since I called this location I have clearly and abundantly communicated, I needed to see the psychiatrist and MD level. I was placed with a nurse practitioner which I personally don’t care about but I am at a family court matter and I am trying to follow that I need to see an MD I don’t need a court ordered psychiatrist that will go to court. I just need to be seen an MD level psychiatrist. I don’t see how that is so hard to understand. I was talking and I waited a month or so to get in, and I was placed with a nurse practitioner. I made a very clear during the intake after having to go through all of my reasons for having PTSD, which is very complex and very upsetting and I made a perfectly clear I don’t have a problem seeing a nurse practitioner personally but I need to see the MD. I said I would see him until I could switch over and I was told that he would have somebody call me the next day and set me up with a psychiatrist and he did not think it would be that long. Over a week later I was called in a voice message was left. I called back today and spoke with ** Nicole who didn’t see that I even made my appointment told me I missed an appointment and said if I need a court ordered psych psychological evaluation I would have to be referred out which is exactly what I’ve communicated very clearly, so I was absolutely frustrated because this week has been very traumatic and I don’t want to react and wanted to end the call and call back later. I saw that I was getting triggered and I said look I can’t deal with this right now she kept gaslighting me and trying to keep me on the phone and she called me right back so when she called me: after I set a healthy boundary immediately continue gaslighting me telling me oh so you’re the one who just started screaming at me I was trying to have a conversation with you and she continue to try to have a conversation with me when I said, I don’t think we’re going to have anything productive to do I don’t want to speak with you, and she kept reading me and saying I’m in mature, which gaslit me more so I chose the road of hanging up- being that it was clear I would only be attacked and me having healthy boundaries followed well know toxic standards of gender to stand up for self is not being a “bitch” and female to female this was not a pissing contest. Complete failure of the system purpose and professional conduct."
"Staff is wonderful, everyone is polite and wants to work with patients. They're very understanding and offer solid help. Wait times on the phone can be a little long, so be prepared."
"The billing department is horrible! I went to the office only to be told that I have to call. Takes weeks for a call only to leave a message stating call back. They put an outstanding bill on my credit report for $255. Just received a detailed statement that shows $197. Make it Make sense. Can't just call and speak with anyone directly it's phone tag. My provider is no longer in this office."
