"I went in to see Tom Nuzum for a lower back (L5/S1 herniated disk) injury that had completely stopped me from lifting or any other activities for 5+ years. It was a powerlifting related injury - likely happened when I was squatting or deadlifting. I had been to 3 other physical therapists at SSM and Athletico but not a single one of them was able to reduce my lower back pain or sciatica. I decided I needed to find someone who has experience with lifting related injuries and stumbled upon Tom, who had competed in Strongman and Powerlifting competitions in the past. I definitely made the right decision. On my first session with Tom he had showed me an exercise that reduced the pain about 70-80% almost instantly. It felt like a miracle. He kept working with me until I could get to squatting and deadlifting pain free, in a matter of just a few months. Tom is an expert PT.
