To make the most of your visit, please have your referring physician forward your medical records prior to your first appointment. Arrive 30 minutes early for your initial visit to allow time for information verification, and 15 minutes early for subsequent visits.

For prescription refills, please request them several days before your medication runs out, as we handle these requests during business hours. If you need urgent medical care after hours, our on-call doctor is available at 816.221.6750 to assist with health questions and concerns. Please note that we do not process medication refills on evenings and weekends.

To expedite your office visit, we encourage you to print and complete any necessary forms in advance and bring them with you to your appointment. Your cardiologist may recommend diagnostic tests to evaluate your health and inform treatment options. Both you and your referring physician will receive your test results promptly once they are available. To save time, fill out the questionnaire for your test before arriving at your appointment.

Now I have Dr. Drew Allen who seems every bit as knowledgeable as my original Dr.Barr. He has since retired but I am very satisfied with Dr. Allen."

Even the transportation agent from the ER to my CCDU room was an amazing, kind soul. This department is a shining example of what compassionate, empathetic and respectful medical care should be. I would love to see the CCDU staff honored and their process documented. This would really help North Kansas City Hospital Emergency Department by avidly coaching, re-training and/or eliminating if they cannot perform at the level of the CCDU.
