"It's funny how I just got this request for yet another review for a service I have yet to use. What I mean by that is I have never filed a claim so I cannot speak to how good Allstate is or is not. I believe John was the last person I spoke to. I give him 5 stars for his ability to answer my questions. But the reason for the 3 stars is my premiums, home and auto continue to go up with every renewal and again I have never filed a claim. Put me in a group of like individuals who have not filed claims and reward us for that with more affordable premiums. Lastly, stop inviting me to these reviews. If and when I file a claim I will gladly review my experience with your agency."

"The staff at Nolan Allstate are all awesome. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the right policy for your needs. They don't try to sell you something you don't need like some other insurance companies do. Always courteous and helpful. Never had any issues since I've been with them. I would 100% recommend this Allstate team. If your looking for insurance look no further. Oh and no I'm not being paid to say this and I'm not employed by Nolan Allstate either. "Allstate is probably as good as any other auto insurance company and I’ve been with them for 30+ years but I was talked into changing my 20 year old auto policy without full disclosure. I hope this review helps other consumers. I was told I could save money by terminating my old policy, which I now know was a closed contract policy meaning that my rates were locked in at the rates in effect when I obtained my policy 20 years ago. They replaced it with an open contract policy which I liken to an adjustable rate mortgage. When I switched my policy four months ago, the current rates were lower than my closed contract rates, but there’s no cap on how high those rates could go in the future. My rates will change every six months when my policy renews based on the current rates at the time of renewal. Even though I asked every question I knew to ask and requested details of the new coverage and compared them to my existing coverage, the fact that I would be replacing a closed contract policy with an open contract policy wasn't disclosed. I specifically asked about Drivewise and was told I didn’t have to enroll in it, which was apparently only true for the first six months. I now understand that my premium will go up 15% when my policy renews in two months if I don't enroll in Drivewise. Again, this wasn't evident from the coverage details I requested. I stopped receiving paper copies of invoices and agreed to go on autopay and was told that was why my premiums were going down. I had a very long conversation with someone from the office today and was told that the person that wrote my policy was new at the time and may not have understood. While I can appreciate this, I would expect Allstate to be accountable for the actions of their employees. In the end I was told they couldn’t give me back my old policy and weren’t able to do anything."
