"Imagine a nightmare vacation where relaxation is replaced by frustration, beauty by brown patches, and amenities are as reliable as a paper boat in a hurricane. Welcome to Duck Creek RV Resort, where disappointment greets you at the gate. First, let's talk inconsistency. Rules here fluctuate like the desert wind, changing at the whim of whoever you happen to encounter. One day, the pool hours are carved in stone, the next, they're as flexible as a pretzel. Storms brewing? Don't expect shelter in the "indoor" pool, as you'll likely be chased out like a rogue chipmunk during a picnic. Speaking of the pool, don't get your hopes up for a refreshing dip. The heaters sulk in a permanent state of hibernation, rendering the water as inviting as a popsicle on a cool day. And if you crave the blissful bubbles of a hot tub, prepare for disappointment – DCs croaked its last gurgle during our stay, leaving us with only tepid echoes of relaxation. But the cacophony doesn't stop at lukewarm water. Duck Creek boasts a symphony of unwanted sounds. From the next-door dog kennel's chorus of canine complaints to the late-night karaoke renditions of your enthusiastically tone-deaf neighbours, earplugs become your most prized possession. Now, let's paint a picture of the scenery. Picture brown, parched grass yearning for a life-giving drop of rain, interspersed with weeds valiantly claiming their territory. Duck Creek’s landscaping resembles the aftermath of a dust bowl with a rogue dandelion infestation. And if you think all this unpleasantness comes at a bargain price, think again. Duck Creek charges like a five-star resort while delivering the charm of a forgotten gas station parking lot. Your wallet will weep as you hand over your hard-earned cash for the privilege of enduring this chaotic circus. In conclusion, Duck Creek is a cautionary tale unless you thrive on frustration, yearn for cold pool water, and enjoy the serenade of barking dogs and off-key karaoke, steer clear. Head elsewhere, anywhere, just don't let your RV tires roll into this disappointment. Trust me, your sanity and bank account will thank you. Tip: Pack noise-cancelling headphones and a bottomless flask of patience. You'll need it."
"Overall: Avoid this campground unless you're a fan of unwelcome roommates and unhelpful staff. Mice in the pedestals are unacceptable, and the lack of action from management shows disregard for guest safety and comfort. Details: Mouse infestation: Mice in my pedestal are a serious safety hazard. After I asked for a certified electrician inspect my pedestal, they felt it was uncessary and unreasonable. The employee that inspected stated there was nothing wrong. I could tell from his unwillingness to follow up with myself and an outside professional safety isn't a concern. I stated I would make myself available for the electrician. I was a seasonal camper, so we had all summer for them to make arrangements. Potential electrical wiring damage occured in my camper and repeatedly found my breaker tripped upon arrival, posing a fire risk. We lost repeated refrigerator and freezer item throughout the year. As well our DC converter failed. Our camper wasn't even a year old. Unresponsive management: Management's unwillingness to address the issue demonstrates a lack of concern for guest welfare. This raises questions about their overall approach to campground maintenance. Unfortunately this management isn't one that raising a concern is in your benefit. After repeatedly seeing them raise their voices at guests it was very unprofessional. I don't feel they ever realized on site 1, 2 and 3 they were easily heard and observed. We all have choices in our lives to choose our vacations and free time. I just can't recommend this campground. Unfortunately there are many more reasons too, that you can read from others reviews."
"Since they won’t let me respond to my review on trip advisor, I’ll respond here. Read the recent reviews here and on Trip Advisor. We will NEVER stay here again. Be aware of this place!! I refuse to give them a compliment of any sort at this point. Usually, I only leave positive posts because we rely on them. I read negative reviews with a grain of salt. After reading all the negatives, management’s jaded responses, and having a similar experience, we felt compelled to leave a host of negative reviews. DO NOT GO HERE! They have taken dig after dig on recent reviews and reviewers. There is a reason. How often have you seen that many negative reviews in a row on Trip Advisor. Check out their recent reviews. Their customer service and social media presence is absolute trash. DON’T STAY HERE! We are normally good with paying a higher price for their amenities and park. It simply isn’t worth it with the poor customer service they have running this operation. AVOID!!!!!!! ****EDIT*** I read more recent reviews and so many people agree. This is the worst customer service we have EVER received at a campground in over 25 years of camping. They deserve what they get. Oh please, review our review so people can see your customer service is beyond awful."
"Our favorite place to camp and it gets better and better every time! Even our dog hears the words “Duck Creek” and gets excited. It’s the perfect place to spend time with family. No other rv resort in Michigan compares to the amenities and amazing staff. We will continue coming here to make memories for years to come!"
"Would give zero stars for service if I could! The staff is not accommodating at all. We were on a buddy site with some friends and wanted to stay one more day. The campground was pretty much empty(about 20 sites near us empty!) so we asked if we could stay one more day. They said our site was available that we were on, but pay for both our site and our buddy’s for the night($200!!) or we would have to move and pack up everything!(we have a family of 6!) and move to another site. So they lost out on being able to make some money rather then none for not booking a site. It’s not that easy to just move a campsite with a family of 6! I would completely understand if they were busy and needed that site, but the campground was pretty much empty! Poor customer service that cost them our potential of coming back in the future!"
