"Recently stayed here(Nov. 2022) and was really impressed by the newly renevated Cabins, which are very cool. Apparently, the motel is under new management which has clearly sunk some serious money into the property.This is an interesting alternative to traditional motel lodging and I very much enjoyed my stay here!!!!"
"The "cabins" are dirty, mold infested, unkept, unsafe and overpriced. I would have given this place a negative 10 if possible. I honestly don't understand how the city/township has continuously allowed this business to operate."
"If your looking for a CLEAN MOTEL, great weekly/monthly rates, and a wonderful office lady...then THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! If your from Muskegon then you know finding a Motel w Weekly Rates is almost IMPOSSIBLE! But N. Muskegon has 3 of them...2 of which have bed bugs, which leaves this place, The Bears Den. Their little mini house looking things that are all separated. Theres NO kinda "riff raff" or rude loud ppl aloud to stay either so you dont have to worry about any of that! I HIGHLY recommend this place BUUUT be sure to book in advance (if possible) because their ALWAYS full!!!"

"I have stayed here quite a few times. The last time was about 2009, so I can't give a current review. But, if there have been no significant changes, and the same wonderful couple still own and manage it, then I can highly recommend it. A variety of nice little cabins, one- and two-bedrooms. Quaint, well-kept, and a pleasure to stay in. Convenient store right across the street. This is where I stay when I come home to Muskegon. A quick drive down River Rd takes you to the beach. Unless you're looking for Fancy, I highly recommend staying here."
