Built for Howard Anthony, the inventor of the Heathkit which later became the Heath Company, this cypress and sandstone house sits at the head of a wooded ravine on a bluff overlooking the St. Joseph River. The design of the house is based on diamond-patterned modules, with a prominent chimney anchoring the building to its site and a low roof with generous overhanging eaves giving it a floating appearance.
