"Magee's is kind of a "guy's" bar with sports on every TV and a great selection of whiskey and beer. But with that being said, the owner and his staff have welcomed me with open arms since day one. I think I'm the reason they started carrying a solid little wine selection! It is a great place to watch a game (especially Liverpool! UP THE REDS!), listen to some great old Motown on the jukebox, have a cigar or just sit and enjoy a drink with conversation or in solitude. If you haven't been there, don't miss on this bar!"
"Authentically a world sports bar that takes care of the local stuff too. Opens early for EPL/F1, full of Lions/Tigers fans on game days, boxing is spoken here. But sports doesn’t capture all this bar is - great location in the Eastern Market and an owner who is Detroit through and through. No kitchen, but pop ups and carry-ins fill that gap. The soup of the day is whiskey. Outdoor cigars. Manly."
"My absolute favorite bar on the planet! If you’re just visiting the city or a local, this is a must for all local sports, boxing, F1, etc! As the home pub for the Detroit Liverpool FC Supporters, the memories I’ve made there since ‘15 are endless. Ownership and staff are always accommodating to needs and always friendly. Erik would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. This place will always be a second home! There is no kitchen for food, but you can order or bring in food from any of the awesome neighboring places."
