“A fantastic new park for the kids, a coffee van each day with kid friendly drinks and snacks for the kids and a puppachino for you furry friend. A great walk around the centre and parks surrounding. Soccer ground, tennis, football, great to give your dogs a run, area for kids to take remote cars or skateboards. Free updated Bbqs, disabled parking as well as toilets.”

“Great fun exploring on a sunny cold day. Historic mining site for all ages. Areas to explore and walk while also leaning a little about the past. It’s the reason Castlemaine became a town and this site is one of many examples that brought the crowds to find their bit of gold. You can pan for gold in the water or just explore the self guided walking areas. Some old rusty bits laying around the open area from the past.”

The park features something for the whole family, excellent playground close by, substantial water feature, several clean double hotplate barbeques, seats and tables. You could easily spend a day here. The park is located just minutes from the Bendigo CBD. Bonus; There is no charge to use the BBQ with simple press buttons to operate the hotplate.
