“Great food. Had some sushi rolls. Little bit more expensive but they are larger and more filling. Salmon was quite fresh. Never had the beef before but great place to try it with an extra sauce”

“I feel like teppanyaki restaurants are a dying breed but this one has been around since I was a kid so they must be doing something right. A great night of good food and entertainment. “Our favorite local Japanese Restaurant. If you like Sashimi, this is the place to go. We had Omakase and no regret with Chef’s Recommendation. Special Chawanmushi, special fish, etc. The food is fresh and amazing. Counter bar is the best spot. The Chef is very friendly and explains what type of fish, where the fish from and when is in season. The homemade rice cake dessert and gelato is delicious too.”

“We came to Daiku Japanese Restaurant on a Saturday night as walk in customs. The restaurant manager went out of their way to get a table for us which was very kind. You will have a choice of ordering A la carte or buffet. We ordered a la carte and were very happy with the selection. The buffet is ordered through QR code on the table but as we did not use that I can't comment on it. Sushi was incredibly good, Nasu dengaku is the best we've ever had. Pork ribs were great. All the food we ordered was delicious. Vegetarian Korokkeke looks plain but us yummy! Check out the pictures and give Daiku a go.”

“We tried this place last week for the first time, and today ordered a delivery as well. While looking for the contact number I noticed some recent negative reviews they have got. Just waited to try the delivered food and then come back and write my review.....I found the food delicious and the staff very friendly. I don’t know why some people did not like the food, but I can definitely give thumbs up for the taste and the quality of the meat used in kebabs. The cutlery were well organised and cleaned, I found nil hygienic issue all round. I have been in other Persian restaurants in Melbourne, and can confirm Shiraz is among my top 3 in the list.”

“After 3 weeks of waiting, we finally got a table at the nice, little Japanese place. It actually felt like we were in Japan - especially with a traditional Hokkaido beer on tap and the pre-cooled beer glasses. They also have a good variety on Japanese liquors, mix drinks, highball, wines and sake. Regarding the food, I can only agree on what most of the other reviewers states. The food is amazing with delicious meat from perfect cuts, but that has it's price. The portion size regarding the meats is small, 50-80g but totally worth it, especially the inside skirts. Yummy. There are also some Korean dishes available as well as take away menus. The service was good and able to recommend food and help us out. Make sure you book around a week in advance to secure your spot”
