Church's Field
Church's Field is a 32-acre park and zoo located at 86 Mattapoisett Road in Rochester, Massachusetts, United States. The Buzzards Bay Coalition was recently awarded the 2021 Coastal Stewardship Award for their efforts to protect and preserve Buzzards Bay, including Church's Field. This property, formerly owned by the Church family for nearly 400 years, offers visitors a chance to explore nature and history. Remnants of an old sawmill and settlement can still be seen within the forest. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the trail that leads through the woods and wetlands to the Mattapoisett River.
