"I recently buried my father at the Veteran section of Melrose and did a walk-in inquiry. The dialog consisted of the plaque being $1000 if using U.S.A. granite material with engraving and design included. The sales associate wrote down the details totaling $2000. Why his verbal price quote and what was written on paper didn’t match is beyond me. But it gets better! I am a stickler for honesty and integrity, so I did not settle for what I was offered at Maver’s. I then called Melrose and inquired about a plaque for my Dad and come to find out, the VA will provide the plaque free upon written request?! What?! I laughed at other reviews speaking about how wonderful their encounters were. What was it that made my experience different? They would have gladly taken my money for lack of knowledge. Yet, very common knowledge for businesses as such! So shameful! Hopefully others can learn from my experience. This world we live in is not a nice place!"
