Narragansett House

"My friends and I had a wonderful stay! I arrived stressed out but Chavelle and Omar made sure we had everything we needed and encouraged us to make the inn our home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the porch was relaxing (there was always someone hanging out in the rocking chairs). Last, the inn is walking distance from the beach and Circuit Ave so a car is not necessary. I would definitely stay here again."

"Blue and purple hues paint this colorfully decorated house that upon walking up to has painted white rocking chairs lining the porch that reminds you to relax while you’re here. It looked like a life-size doll house to me when I first saw it, like something out of a book. I’ve never stayed in such a cute house before. When you first walk in, the staff is in the kitchen (there is no front desk reception area). If you arrive early and your room it’s not ready, the baggage can be stored out on the porch. While our luggage was safe and the staff reassured me it was fine to leave everything there and go into town, I think it would make guests feel more at ease if there was a small locked room where luggage is safely lock secured. We stayed in Room #3 which online looked a little more spacious than in person. It was charming but felt too small to comfortably move around. There were hangers on the door you could use, or a small white dresser. There was no metal rack luggage holder to put luggage on, so I had to put my luggage on the couch which took away from being able to sit and enjoy the room ambiance. The stand-up shower and toilet are also extremely cramped for my liking. The mirror was not at eye level height so I had to take it off the wall so I could apply my makeup while getting ready (I’m 5”4). I would’ve loved a full length mirror on the back door and a small open trash bin for the room, there was only the step bin small trash can in the bathroom. We switched rooms for a 3rd night and moved to Room #1 which was beautiful, spacious, has an attached balcony sitting area for coffee in the morning and was much more of what I was looking for. What a huge space difference! The bathroom stand up shower is a little bigger but the mirror in this room was even smaller than in room #3. The most exciting part of Room #1 is the balcony, the mini fridge and vaulted ceilings. There was a metal luggage rack and a open small closet to store luggage in and hang some attire. TV’s are all small but you’re not really there to watch tv right. Breakfast can be ordered and freshly made by the staff. The waffles and omelets looked great. There is coffee, fresh baked goods, hard boiled eggs, bagels and assorted freshly cut up fruits available if you choose not to have a breakfast made. The porch each morning is bustling with breakfast goers eager to sit in the rocking chairs (they go fast) but there’s small tables and chairs lining the sides of the porch. Everyone was very friendly and visiting with other tourists from all over the world made for enjoyable breakfast talk if you feel like socializing. The staff was very helpful with taking our luggage up the stairs for us as the staircase was very steep and narrow. The weather was absolutely perfect and the breeze on the porch felt perfect! Conveniently located 5 minutes away walking distance from the ferry and shops/restaurants right at the end of the street. Great location in the heart of all the excitement!"

"Kahina is amazing, and her team is top-notch. We extended our stay by a night because of how welcoming they were and how peaceful everything was. Inn has been refreshed nicely the last couple of years, great location a block to Circuit ave and Inkwell beach, but it's perfectly peacefully quiet and a great place to enjoy a day on the porch- even if it rains! They brought us food, wine, and were available by text anywhere we were on the island if we had a question. Will 100% stay here again!"

"We had an excellent stay at the Narragansett house for two nights. The room we booked was cozy and perfect for two people. Each morning they serve several breakfast items: fresh juice, coffee, homemade egg bites, waffles/pancakes. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, as well as the friendly service. I would recommend booking here, especially for a stay where you’d like to be central to Oak Bluffs - walking distance to both the beach and the town. We hope to be back!"

"Hated to leave Narragansett House! Oak Bluffs was a weekend stay while on our trip to Cape Cod. It was by far the most relaxing and refreshing stop on our excursion. The gingerbread style Narragansett House was charming, clean and perfectly located. Friendly staff; Waddy was very accommodating and Amanda a joy to interact with. A tasty continental breakfast was served. Light jazzy music filled the foyer. Lovely mornings and evenings sitting on the wrap-around porch enjoying coffee, reading and saying hello to passers by. True island experience."
