Robinson Nature Center
Robinson Nature Center is a unique park and tourist attraction located at 6692 Cedar Lane in Columbia, Maryland, United States. Our mission is to facilitate the enjoyment and understanding of our natural resources and to bridge the gap between people and nature. By inspiring sound environmental awareness, we promote responsible stewardship of all of our natural resources and strive to connect people of all ages with nature through experience-based education. The Nature Center features indoor exhibits, a children's discovery room, outdoor trails, a natural play area, a planetarium, a gift shop, rental spaces, and more. We are a LEED Platinum-certified nature education facility situated on 18 acres of land adjacent to the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area. We offer educational programs, field trips, birthday parties, home school programs, scout programs, and more.
National Capital Trolley Museum
The National Capital Trolley Museum, located at 1313 Bonifant Road in Colesville, Maryland, is a fascinating institution that offers visitors the chance to ride into D.C.'s past on historic streetcars. Experience the transit systems that shaped communities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia from 1862 to 1962. At the museum's Visitor Center, guests can enjoy exhibits and presentations before boarding one of the living collection of historic streetcars for a ride through Northwest Branch Park. The museum is open every Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm, with the last trolley ride leaving at 4:30pm.
