“Just walk-in to this restaurant around the corner of city center, a small entrance and it’s not big inside. Luckily not many people on Sunday afternoon. Very traditional and classic Italian style decor inside for dining area, with an English bar table reception. A number of choices on wine and drinks, but would love to see more selection for red wine. Several choices on starter, ranging from soup to bread and salad mostly. Didn’t tried the main, but the pasta section is enough to pick your favourable one although don’t know why risotto is classified under pasta. Food quality is exceptionally good. Of course you can’t compare it to those Michelin 3 stars restaurant as the price for food in this restaurant is more affordable. But considering the price and food quality, it is very value for money. I tried the Ravioli All’ Ara Gosta, it’s like Tortellini with Lobster meat crunch inside. Very special and good match with tomato and bisque sauce. The minestrone soup is rich with vegetables which I recommend personally. I don’t like the Pate much as the chicken liver taste very different from Foie gras, but given it is my first time to try chicken liver, why not give myself a trial.”

“Superb! As Italian I am always a bit scheptical about getting pizza in another country as many place have fake "italian pizza" but this is a proper one. The dough is like a cloud, soft and light. There is a very nice choice od pizzas and desserts looked nice as well. I had marinara with anchovies and it was delicious. Super plus is that you can book online and we found place easily on a Saturday evening.”

“We had to wait for our reserved table on arrival and had drinks at the bar area. The service was OK and the food was delicious. The layout makes this place very welcoming and cosy. We had a bit of confusion about the bill, having given the wrong receipt and nearly paying twice on 10% added service charge, but it was all sorted in the end.”

“Used to love Salvi's on John Dalton Street, so was super sad when it closed over the pandemic. Didn't have a chance to visit its original restaurant until now! The restaurant at the Corn Exchange is tucked away downstairs while a deli/shop with lots of Italian goodies sits upstairs. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious! “Great service, friendly staff. The place was busy and a good atmosphere with a live singer on Saturday night. The food was amazing, I had the grill Ribeye which was stunning, my partner had the salmon which was a very good size and cooked very well. The desserts were enjoyable and the cocktails were good. Excellent choice of wine for a good price and I would recommend the montepulciano.”

The staff always make an extra effort with all of their new and returning guests and always offer a personalised service. I would have to say much nicer than the Knutsford restaurant, with sounds of coffee cups slamming & cutlery thrown around... not relaxing! I'd definitely recommend Cheadle Hulme Gusto. Seating looks lovely for alfresco dining in the summer too. Lovely evening spent for my boyfriend's birthday, with his kids & their partners. All left very happy. Thank you.”
