“Been today for my daughters 7th birthday party. Absolutely fab place, Matt the party host was great and really engaged with the kids. They all had a great time and hopefully we have inspired some future climbers! My only feedback to the team is with regard to the party room. It could do with some tlc and some music maybe, but perfectly adequate.”

“We decided to take a chance & come here for a bite to eat before we were going to the Theatre. We were tempted in by their 50% off food during January. Best decision of the night, we will definitely be going back here. It is a big place and when we got there at 5pm, there were plenty of tables. 2 hours later, it was busy. All the staff are amazing, especially Thomas & Monica. We had the ribs, Beef brisket sandwich and the Big burger. I also had one of the cocktails too. The service is fantastic, friendly & quick. The food and drink was delicious. As we were celebrating a special occasion, Thomas, Monica and the others made sure that it was extra special and a night to remember. I was bowled over by their kindness. It is a place were I will definitely go for food when I'm in town again. I have a feeling that it is also going to be a favourite for my 22 year old son, girlfriend & friends to go for drinks too as it is especially appealing to their age group too.”

“Loved our experience at Gaucho. Some items were not photographed as it was all gobbled up too quickly! Place is lovely and the service excellent. Honestly, customer service is top notch; our waiter was very helpful, welcoming and friendly. We had the fillet and another type of steak recommended by staff. We got a side of truffle mac & cheese, chips, and rocket salad which were all very delicious. The cheesecake dessert was the best we ever tried & the brownie was average to be honest. Theres a lovely selection of drinks that is inclusive of those who do not prefer alcohol as well. It was a fantastic experience & we will definitely be coming again.”

“I really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I got the mix grill for 2, and it was more than enough for me, my wife and 2 kids. The owners are great and made us feel very welcome. The decor inside is stunning and the food is fresh and really tasty. My little kids even got lollies at the end. “Very nice place to have a few drinks and some delicious pub food reasonably priced. The Botanist is beautifully decorated, the cocktails and selection of drinks is is impressive. I really enjoyed my halloumi hanging kebab and sweet chili fries. The staff is very approachable and attentive. Special thanks to our waiter Sam who kindly made sure that we were happy and well attended at all times. Will go back :)”

“Been a resident at The Slate Yard for nearly a year and couldn't recommend it more. Gym is brilliant, you feel so safe even in the middle of a busy city. My friends and I have loved it and wish we could stay longer but cannot due to moving out of the city. Would recommend to anyone looking for a central flat, Ems”
