Made a last minute decision to come for Sunday roast, and despite the restaurant being fully booked, they were more than happy to accommodate us in the bar area. “Myself and my partner took my parents here on Saturday night when they had come up to visit. It was a fairly last minute booking so the only time available was 8.30pm but it was so worth it. We arrived a little early and it was very busy! There was a large group leaving and there were another large group sat down at the table. We were told we could wait at the bar and order a drink. The man at the bar was lovely, though clearly very busy dealing with drinks orders for tables as well as the 6 people standing at the bar, but we were happy to wait. By the time our drinks orders were done a table was ready and we were taken to be seated. Every member of staff was a delight in there. And the food? AMAZING. As we finished up our meal the chef came out to ask how our meal was. What a lovely guy! We had a little chat with him before leaving. As we left and got in a cab the chef came running out with my dad's phone and glasses he left at the table. Can't wait to go back. So glad we booked here.”

“I had heard good things about this place from a friend and as I was travelling home from work my son amd I decided to swing in. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really lovely and the food was top notch. Needless to say we left feeling very full and happy. “Took my family here over Christmas. 8 of us had a fantastic meal, great atmosphere, with pleasant and helpful staff. From the papadoms which were crisp and greasy to the starters (Lamb Chops) were perfection to the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi it was an awesome meal. Bottle of wine was given as a regular customer. Highly recommend this as a local Indian restaurant. Go and try it today, you will not be disappointed.”

“After a nice walk down the local loop line and a play on the park, the café in the village is a fabulous place to head for. Warm and welcoming staff, serving delicious hot and cold food. The kids love a nice hot chocolate and sticky bun. The traditional post office is still tucked in the corner for your convenience too. Thanks for being there, see you again soon.”

It is a little different to other Chinese style takeaways as they don't use or rely on MSG to give their dishes flavour. I don't feel bloated or feel like rubbish after eating out here. Looking forward to the next time I visit Manchester as I will most probably be calling in.”

“All the staff are welcoming and friendly. I go 1 to 2 times a week and get the same treatment. The food is always great and the latte is amazing, even when different staff members make it, it has the same consistency which is how I like my latte. If you are ever in Walkden pop in and give it a go.”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

We'll definitely be back here.....in fact we did come back for Sunday dinner....it was soooo tasty. Update: I've lost count of the number of times we've been back here. I've still to find another place that does a better burger than the House Burger....absolutely amazing.”
