“Visited Rain Bar for pre-concert food and drinks last night. Service was great (thank you Ursula!) and the fish and chips was excellent, and great value in my opinion. In fact, everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, so will be back soon to try one of the home-made pot pies.”

“Pleasantly surprised to find this was a Samuel Smith's pub, so very cheap. Beer was very well kept. A very interesting building architecturally too - not your average pub. I did like their "Digital Detox" stance, which meant people were having actual conversations and not just sat looking at their phone!!”

“Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were comfortable with windows which could be opened even if only a little bit. Desk available in the room. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board also available. Breakfast delicious with cooked options available to order.”

“A great hostel, with bar and breakfast. We arrived around mid-night and the bar was open for beers and food, which was awesome. The bedrooms were super clean and warm. The bathroom didn’t have pressure on the watwr and was small, but it was inside the room so we didn’t have to go to the one at the end of the corridor.”

“As an asthmatic and someone who suffers from mild claustrophobia, it’s really important to be able to open the window of hotel rooms that I stay in. This is proving more and more difficult these days as so many hotels have no regard for guests basic need for fresh air. I was delighted that you can open the window in my room at this hotel. In Manchester for a conference, it is even more important to have fresh air when you’ve been inside all day. The rooms were bright, clean and spacious and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time - high, supportive and the right balance of firm and soft. 24 hour room service and a good choice of items at breakfast. I’ll definitely be staying again.,”

“First time visiting the cinema today. Never been in before. it's huge! The lift wasn't working but there are escalators and stairwells to get you up the different floors. Our movie was on the 3rd floor so we had to go right to the top! There are food and drink kiosks on each floor so you don't need to navigate the escalator holding your drink and popcorn! Seats are very comfy and the cinema was very clean. Lots of toilets dotted about also. We took our own food in and a member of staff came in at the end of the movie with a bin bag so we were able to put our rubbish in on the way out.”

“Visiting from Edinburgh, I decided to try out your club. It wasn’t usually my particular scene, but soo glad I did come in. I enjoyed it so much I returned a second night. I would like to really say that the venue is not only immaculate, the staff were very friendly also. Making us really welcome. I really wanted to mention your door steward. One girl who was on the door that night is an asset to your club. Not only did she keep the club safe, her observation is incredible. She spotted two male individuals that were about to be a serious problem and she spotted it well before it escalated. One particular male was very threatening toward my girlfriend who I was there with. Your steward removed him before it got me into a difficult situation. I understand it’s not easy to stop the problem at the door, but she did an impeccable job. Many thanks for allowing us access and we will re visit again.”

“Took my neices and nephew tonight for a birthday meal and was very impressed. Was a beautiful setting and the man looking after us popped us in a quiet booth making it feel special and he couldn’t have been more attentive. Food was lovely too. Great little place.”

“I'd generally very busy. Better to make a reservation. Food is very tasty. Has a proper spicy taste. Good dining experience. Better to look at the pictures online and order on the app. Has NHS /blue light discount. Have to park outside selfridges to get here fastest.”

“Came Saturday 3rd December for our Christmas do. We all had food and drinks. It was very busy so our food was miss ordered but once it came it was out of this world. Most of us had loaded fries. Because of the delay we got a discount. The food prices were really reasonable. Would definitely recommend.”

“We were looking for a place to have lunch after our appointment at spire hospital, so we decided to stop at Albert's as we were driving by. What a beautiful place, they could accommodate us for lunch even if the restaurant was busy. Nice decorations and big sitting area outside. The service was perfect, out waiting was very nice and professional. We had the bruschetta and the gnocchi, very yummy, I would have been happier with a bigger portion. Pizza and fish and ships for our mains. To be honest, its been a while since I didn't have such a good fish and chips, was really impressed. They even had me more impressed with a vegan ice cream as my son is allergic to the lactose. Thanx a lot for looking after us, definitely recommand and be back after my next appointment at the hospital.”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

“Recommended by our Air BnB host and did not dissapoint. Booked a table and met by a welcoming team of staff. Ordered drinks and garlic dough balls to start. Really tasty and all came out hot and in good time. For mains we had a carbonara and American hot pizza, really tasty and good portions with a thin crispy pizza base. Finally we had a chocolate fudge cake to end and was extremely pleased with the bill at the end! All in, very impressed and would highly recommend a visit if you're staying in the area during it looked like they did takeaway too.”

“We visit Rock Salt on a regular basis and have always leave with a very positive experience. The cafe bar has such a lovely vibe and the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. A special mention goes to Vera whose commitment to the business is both obvious and outstanding. Steve is also a lovely and hard working member of staff. Jamie has a great command of the kitchen … the team turns out food of a consistently high standard and we always thoroughly enjoy our meals there. “Attended a wedding. Staff are hard working and very hospitable. The locals were very welcoming, nice and down to earth bar a tall old man with a large belly and glasses, in his 60s that was a perv. Beware ladies.”

“The burgers were delicious. The vegan Thai tofu stir fried noodles were also very delicious, which is remarkable considering that this place does not specialise in Asian cuisine. It’s very close to the university so it’s often frequented by students, which might explain why the prices are quite cheap. If you’re coming by car, find a parking spot in advance. There’s some free roadside parking on Cecil Street, which is about a 7 minute walk away.”

“The best boozer in the Piccadilly area. Mike and Keith are the best publicans, Really entertaining to talk to and genuine people to boot. You won't go wrong grabbing a few pints here or digging in for the evening and the rhubarb gin and ginger ale just seems to taste better here.”

“Stayed overnight to see Peter Kay. Lovely hotel, large room with a very comfy bed. Huge television. Couldn't beat the price either. Didn't use the pub/restaurant but it looked great and lively. Amazing location and easy to get to from the train station. Will definitely stay again.”

“Who said you can't have fun and stay safe? Namco Bowling made it happen! We had a great time with family. We booked 2 lanes side by side and played against one another. The place felt safe, clean and in line with the gov. guidelines.”

“Deadly spot to stay, booked the suite and it was unreal. Had the living room, massive bathroom and the comfy bedroom. In a great location, staff are lovely, rooms are clean and price isn't bad at all! Would highly recommend staying here”
