Urmston Curry House
“Tried for the 1st time a few weeks ago, very pleased. Plus they had some different dishes than the usual curry house menu.”
Thai Wok Noodle Bar
“Lovely friendly place to stop. Great value and taste! Quick service. What more can you want!”
Thai Kitchen No.6
“Modern Thai restaurant. This is much better than the Try Thai in city center. The Singha beer is a beer from Thailand, must try one. Fresh to eat prawn is more less the same as the taste I tried in Bangkok. Pineapple fried rice is good, but the portion is a bit small unfortunately same for Pha Thai (remember to ask for less auger otherwise will be a little bit too sweet) The desert is mango with sticky rice, very classic Thai desert. But the mango is not as sweet as those in Thailand, but I believe cannot compare in that way. Overall, I will give a 4.5 stars (minus 0.5 for too few staff to serve too many tables).”
Tampopo Corn Exchange
“Lovely food, couldn't fault it. First time coming here, would definitely recommend it here. Had a aperol spritz as well. Staff are lovely. Very cozy atmosphere”
Lizhi
“Been on 4 separate occasions and its always amazing. Food, service and everything is fantastic. Ignore some of the idiots reviews on here complaining about price etc probably because they usually go 2 for 1 pubs tight arse!”
Fu-Sing
“This is a fantastic Chinese takeaway, I’ve tried near enough all the popular Chinese takeaways in Stockport, but this one is the best by far. Friendly staff, massive portions and authentic flavours. I highly recommend them and I’ll be going there whenever I want my favourite Chinese dishes. Five stars isn’t enough as far as I’m concerned.”
Taste The Orient Oriental Supermarket
“Really surprised by just how great this place is. Great range of products that puts some of the big Chinese supermarkets to shame.”
itsu
“Loved the food, wow just wow. Everything was spot on and so delicious. Highly recommended the ribs as everyone loved these and they are like mini steak cubes but taste like really good ribs. Service was great always coming to top up drinks. Atmosphere was nice but a little too dark in booth and music so loud that's it was hard to talk to people on opposite end of table but other than that it was an incredible experience and the staff are very helpful”
Khau Galli
“My husband and I were looking for somewhere a little bit special for our last date night before our first baby arrives in the next few weeks, and I found Khau Galli online. We booked a VIP Pod, and had such a wonderful evening! The food was incredible, the staff and service were brilliant, and the whole unique dining experience in the pod was fantastic. There was even an Alexa in each pod so you can have whatever music playing that you like, which was a lovely bonus touch. We’ll definitely be going back again in the future, and I highly recommend it to anyone!”
Oriental Hut
“Always our first choice for Chinese. Well priced, incredibly tasty and the family who run it are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet!”
Delhi Spice Hyde
“When I travel from Bolton to Hyde, occasionally I will visit Delhi Spice to have their Naga Rice Box. It is just a delight. On thr super hot side, but an amazing dish. Other friends and family members will try a variety and they always have only good things to say about the food. TBH, with the cost of living increase, I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of meat they pack into each meal, especially at those prices, it such a steal.”
Peking Garden Hazel Grove
“We had a lovely meal here, staff were amazing and so helpful, the food was very good. It wasn’t noisy like a lot of restaurants. Would highly recommend”
Yu Yee
“Top notch food - consistently! Special mention to the Salt n Pepper chips / chicken, vermicelli dishes and shredded beef - all superb. Keep up the good work!”
Zulaika Indian Restaurant
“Food is delicious. Service is excellent. And it is quite good value for money. Would love to back more often”

Zafrani
“I’m a truck driver and was parked in the area for the night. I placed an order for a set menu for 1 and oh my god, it was amazing. It came within 30 minutes and was nice and hot, and there was loads of it. I do a lot of work in the area and will definitely be using Zafrani again in the future. I can highly recommend. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant”
Woondaal Indian Takeaway
“Ordered and collected from Woondaal for the first time tonight and was not disappointed. Bought a Woondaal Special Kebab Box, Keema on chips and some onion bhajis. Donner meat was cooked in a lovely sweet sauce with stir fried peppers and onions, chicken and lamb tikka was pleasantly moist and flavoured well and naan benefitted from the meat juices. Overall a massive portion but great quality too! Keema mince was very spicy but awesome. Definitely our new go to place! 9/10”
Habibah Spice
“I have been using this takeaway since it opened. I have never had a bad experience. The food has always been perfect and the staff are awesome. They always remember who i am when I put my telephone order through, they ask if i am well and always call me madam. I would never go anywhere else. Thank you to all at Habibah”
Khan's Biryani and Pilau
“This isn't a fancy restaurant, don't expect ambience or service. Just quality of food. Freshness and cost effective. Quickness and consistency. Cheap and almost home like. Hot tandoori roti.. P.S. Can be slightly oily sometimes, but still better than many others.”
Namaste Nepal
“Namaste Nepal Restaurant is an absolute gem in Manchester's dining scene! From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm and welcoming hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with beautiful décor that adds to the authentic Nepalese experience. The food at Namaste Nepal is truly outstanding. Every dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. From classic Nepalese dishes like momos and tandoori chicken to more adventurous options like lamp curry, the menu has something for everyone. The flavors are rich and bold, and the portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. On addition PASWARI NAN was a true gem in this restaurant, i have never eat any nan like this before. I will buy one everyday for sure. But what really sets Namaste Nepal apart is the exceptional service. The staff is attentive and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure that every customer has a memorable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a delicious meal, Namaste Nepal is the perfect choice. Overall, I highly recommend Namaste Nepal Restaurant in Manchester. It's the perfect place to enjoy authentic Nepalese cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with exceptional service and delicious food that will keep you coming back for more.”
Tai Wu
“Ranking on the top of my list by far considering the category of an old fashioned yet magnificent Chinese cuisine, just like how most people that came in before, this is a quality traditional Chinese restaurant, brilliantly done and easily amazed us after a few bites of the food, trust me if not an exaggeration, maybe within a heartbeat, and here we are, appreciate effort and consistency of achieving excellence. Exceptionally nice that most would relate emotions and memories to homeland, especially we have come all the way from Hong Kong to Manchester, the UK, we were greeted in Cantonese by the very cheerful and friendly staff, a warm-hearted act that had a tender touch to us as a welcoming gesture.”
Double Luck
“Called in double luck a couple of days ago . Very friendly staff and the food I ordered was piping hot and very fresh . Also the portion sizes would have definitely done for 2 people and very good value for money”
Great Wall
“Still the best chilli beef I've had! Not to mention, the friendly staff and good portions.”
Wong Kwok Chinese Takeaway
“This is now my go to place.....Udon noodles A1....sweet & sour...big chunks of veg & lovely battered chicken....special satay..well this was a new one on me...used to getting green peppers (which I love) in satay..but no green peppers here...instead chunks of courgette (maybe it was cucumber lol)..boring...and weirdly...pineapple chunks! Which did taste nice all the same...having said all that...the satay sauce itself was definitely the best I've ever had from a takeaway! Chips are hit & miss..perfect on last order..but sometimes a bit squishy...taste is subjective though....but overall..... taste/quality wise....I'm a regular! Fantastic food. Cannot currently find a hygiene rating for this place on the food standards site oddly enough though....”
Ying Wah Fish & Chips, Chinese Takeaway
“Good tasty food and realistically priced for the area. Great service and very clean within the shop. Very friendly and helpful staff.”
HENG SENG Chinese Takeaway
“This review is based on 1 particular meal, customer service, food quality and packaging in comparison to other takeaways I’ve been to in Manchester and London… I don’t usually give reviews unless I’ve been to a place on a number of occasions because sometimes like everyone else, we have bad days therefore, food or service might not be as consistent. However, fortunately to say - Heng Seng have been consistent over the years I have been going there. My review is based on the vegetable chow mien and chicken (halal) chow mien dishes alongside salt & pepper chips and prawn crackers (had other stuff too but I’m comparing to other takeaways). - Over the course of 5 years, me and my partner fell in love with their vegetable chow mien. Tonight, the chicken (halal) chow mien took that spot. Their chow mien is BANGING! Full of flavour, generous on the portion size and not just full of noodles (like some places). It’s not heavy on oil, doesn’t leave you feeling unhealthy or groggy - salt and pepper chips: again, good size, lots of flavour and not too much salt - prawn crackers: these are just right. A lot of places we’ve been to either tastes too fish or are too oily - so hands down, Heng Seng smashed it. We’ve always ordered our food then collected. Never had to wait long and customer service was always exceptional and first class. I’m not a food critic btw - I just know my flavours, oil and spices cos I’m an Asian! Plus I travel a lot. In summary, really impressed with this takeaway.”
