Boggart Hole Clough
“Nice place to go for a walk and to take kids and dogs. Quiet in the mornings, in general quite clean, not sure what's happening with that green water though. There are some ducks, not too many. The playground is great for kids, from small to a little bigger, plenty to do and space to run around.”

Saracens Head
“We were ALMOST put off by the recent reviews... but decided to go anyway and I'm so glad we did. They are very upfront about the limited menu, and new staff still being in training. We ordered 14 meals, with a few extra sides/starters and everything came out together, well presented, hot and in reasonable time. I had the "Seasoned Bird" chicken burger, it was great! We then went in the soft play for an hour or so, the kids (4, 6 & 7) loved it! Could have maybe done with an extra member of staff in the attached cafe, the lady running it was lovely, she signs everyone in, takes your orders and prepares the hot drinks... she will sleep well tonight! Recent reviews make it clear they've had their fair share of teething problems... but don't let that stop you from going!”
Norfolk Arms
“This is a very well located pub/hotel for visiting Glossop main street and the surrounding countryside. The room was a good size, recently decorated, with a good bathroom. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Breakfast was also available from 9.00am. The room and the food were very reasonably priced. Very nice helpful staff which made for an enjoyable stay.”
Church Inn
“The best pub in Prestwich, a haven next to the church, a nice interior, with many separate drinking areas to choose from.”

“One of the best Sunday roasts I've had, the sharing platter was incredible and had all the extras you could want. Honey roasted parsnips were incredible and the meat was perfect. Will definitely be back.”
Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa
“Beautiful setting and lovely spa! We’ve booked a Black Friday deal a couple of times and it’s been wonderful. I’ve also been on a hen weekend. The food is amazing and the facilities are great. Lots to do and see in the grounds. The spa is well equipped and the outdoor hydro pool is just incredible.”
Cockfields Farm
“Been here a few times this is the Second Halloween we have been to here and we love it - perfect for little ones especially through the week it's quiet. Lots of time to explore and adventure around tractor ride- park / playground / animal feeding - jumping pillow - pumpkin picking (different activities depending on the time of year) - cuddle corner - reptile room and animal encounters. Personally I would reccomend as we've had such good experiences and the staff are chatty - helpful - and friendly.”
Pennine Vets - Tottington
“We have only used Pennine vets, at Tottington, over the last couple of weeks, for our cats, but We’ve been very impressed with the service we have received. Our cats have needed routine check ups and emergency treatment for one of them, during this short period, and can’t fault the professionalism, care, understanding and efficiency of all the staff, including the receptionists, nurses and the Vets. I don’t tend to leave reviews often, but when it’s deserved, I feel it’s right that you tell others of your experience. In short, we highly recommend Pennine Vets, due to the very positive experience we’ve had with them recently.”
Vetcare Ltd Leigh
“I just wanted to leave a review to say thanks to all the staff at Vetcare, Leigh for their excellent and professional care. I would like to say a special thanks to Chad Northcott for all his care and understanding when we were recently so worried about our Labrador. Definitely 'above and beyond' when Chad responded to my email in the evening giving all relevant information and then made arrangements to visit the surgery. If you're looking for a vet in the area, please visit Vetcare, you won't be disappointed. Sue B”

Well-i-Hole Farm Caravan and Camping
“Spent a lovely weekend here. Loved the shop. Jams, fresh milk and butter, Weather was on our side. Views was fab. The wet rooms was reasonably clean. Had a free bird show from a man flying his bird. The owner did say I could go over to him to see the bird, but I was in the middle of our dinner. You can hear a little road noise but that didn't put us off. We will return sometime soon. There is an adult only area but I prefer the main field. Love seeing family happy when their camping. .”

“I have recently started to use Boots on Grimshaw Lane after years of problems every single month in picking up my repeat prescription up from the Middleton Arndale Centre branch. “Enjoyed a two night stay at the coachman. We were met on our arrival by Lyn the new landlady. Both she and her staff were very friendly . Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent cooked breakfast provided on both days. Our room was clean and comfortable. We also tried the new Thai menu one evening which was also very good. Lyn has worked hard to turn around the pub, after it's previous owner had let standards slip. Well done Lyn and your team.”
