“We have used Jen and Alan since March 2015 for our beagle puppy, they walk her twice a day and she goes to stay on her holidays, which is a home from home. The care and attention Bella receives is first class and I can not speak highly enough of how they both are with Bella, Bella gets so excited when she is going on walks with them and loves going to stay - she doesn't give us a second glance! “I have been using Canine Co. for a couple of years now and never had any issues atall. My whippet can be quite nervous about going to the groomers but Kate and the team are so lovely and patient with her. She always comes out smelling lovely and clean. I would 100% recommend to any dog owners!”

“This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

“First went here in 2020 with a dog that wasn't very friendly, but she had a mass and needed operating on the staff were great, they could of turned her away and said no but they didn't! Then our other old dog who passed at home we took him there to be cremated the staff were all amazing! Now we have 2 youngsters and as always staff are brilliant thanks for being warm and friendly and kind it does make a diffrence, I've been to several vets over the years and especially starting from the reception team they are not always as friendly as you at this practise!”

“I would not leave my dog with anyone else whilst we are away. Simba loves his time with Martin, Lesley and staff. He trots off with Martin to his kennel and doesn’t give us a backwards glance, that tells me he is happy which is what is important. Every part of your dogs routine is discussed so that feeding etc can be replicated whilst you are away. Your dog is given the best possible care, fussing and attention after your own. thank you. Location was ideal for me as I was mountain biking in the area and also the B&B is right next to the amenities at Hollingworth Lake. Definitely recommended.”

Initially got a chipped wine glass but when sorted the wine was beautiful and the steak out of this world. The chef was kind enough to give us the ingredients to the anchovy butter sauce that we can't wait to replicate. Not to be missed !”

Just wished our plans gave us the opportunity to enjoy the premises for longer.
