Charlie & Friends
● Closed“Scott has been walking my dog, Rupert, for nearly 1.5 years. He started doing puppy visits initially until he was vaccinated which he then joined the group walks. Throughout it all Scott has been amazing with him and Rupert gets so excited every time he gets picked up! The best touch on it is the updates via Instagram stories where I can see my little boy running around being happy. I highly recommend the value of the service for the price compared to doggy day care.”

Hare & Hounds Mill Brow
● Closed19 Mill Brow, Marple Bridge, Stockport SK6 5LW, United Kingdom“Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone.”

The Old School BBQ Bus
● ClosedAlford Street, Hollinwood, Chadderton, Oldham OL9 7LP, United Kingdom“An awesome place with superb grub. I had The Houston burger with added brisket and pickles. Really nice thick juicy patty and high quality bacon & brisket. Just the right amount of sauce too. The bun was light but also held firm with the filling. The iron brew chicken fries were also delicious. Not a big fan of regular fries but these were crisp, fresh and well seasoned. Huge portion too! I also had tasty bbq beans and some refreshing coleslaw to cap a brilliant tray of food. A delightful experience in a quirky establishment with terrific friendly staff. Highly recommend trying it for yourselves.”

Service was impeccable and the waiter was helpful in choosing a wine that I could enjoy for my starter and main course. We even managed to get a slice of the infamous custard tart which was delightful.”

The Snug
● Closed“Quirky with a vintage twist. I love this little café. It's so inviting and you can smell the beautiful food as you approach. The new location is definitely better for size. There's seating inside and out which makes a change for this area. I love the shear selection of tea and I'm slowly trying to work my way through them all. So far my favourite is the fairy wings tea. They also have a great milkshake selection. The bacon butties are amazing. Plus the homemade cakes and scones are a must try.”

The Cotton House
● Closed“I went for the first time last night with my wife, we had been meaning to go for a while and were not disappointed. The manager chatted to use for a while and made us feel very welcome so thank you (sorry I didn’t catch your name). My wife had a couple of cocktails which she enjoyed very much and I sampled a German lager I had never heard of but it was spot on. The place is very well presented and perfect for those who want somewhere a bit extra for a drink, next time we will try the food as the menu looked great. Nice to see a great building being put back into a good use. EDIT: We have just been back and tried the food. As you can see I review the odd place here and there but this was up there in my top 5 meals ever bought. It was tremendous from start to finish, I eat until I could eat no more. Staff were brilliant once again and service was excellent. Thank you all so much.”

Already busy at 12.30 on a cold February Wednesday afternoon. Yasser Arafic having a great pint of Dizzy Blond. Ric on Veltins. Fantastic heritage interior and a good beer garden. Found just off the market next to ASDA car park entrance. Well worth a visit. I like their music as well.”

The Pride of the Peaks
● Closed“Dog friendly pub. Stopped in for a coffee and toasted sandwich and we were very pleasantly surprised. Large garden with a couple of covered pods. Not that we needed them as it's a lovely sunny day and the garden is a real sun trap. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Toasted ham and cheese sandwich came with lots of salad and a pot of home made coleslaw. We will definitely return.”
