“Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. “I'd initially booked a two week jaunt to South Africa for my Dads 60th and after months of uncertainty we got the call that it couldn't go ahead. Despite this, Black Opal had stayed in touch throughout the entire experience, reassuring us that they would do everything in their power to make it happen. Alas, it was out of their hands. Black Opal quickly arranged an alternative trip to Murrayfield to at least watch the Lions on home soil and what a day it was, we saw all of the players board the buses prior to playing and a stellar 3 course meal with guest speakers. We had great seats and the atmosphere was as good as we could of expected. Black Opal accommodated a payment method they did not previously accept for me to pay for the entire trip and we got great rates for the initial trip to South Africa and the revised trip to Edinburgh. I'd not used a travel operator before, but I can assure you reading this and Black Opal I do not intend to go elsewhere ever again for sports excursions. Special mention to Ben Collis for the initial handling of my enquiry but my utmost thanks and appreciation goes to Kathryn Morris who was instrumental in the handling of our initial trip when it was in limbo and arranging our trip to Edinburgh. I cannot recommend this group enough.”

“OMG..! For a Monday night in Altrinham.. Abso fab tea time 'sesh' with Emma behind the bar.. So attentive to customers needs.. Customers soooo.. Friendly.. Was only planning on staying for one pint but the 'oirish.. Craic...' was so wonderful that we ended up staying for four pints each.. Shame no real ale but neck oil beer very tasty.. “What a lovely restaurant. I went with the In Laws so we had a table of 4. Service was exceptional and they couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks came quick and they were always asking if we are ok. The interior was lovely and a chilled vibe to the place. Having never had Sri Lankan food I didn’t know what to expect. It’s kinda like Indian but more spicier so be prepared. We really enjoyed it. Will go again very soon and will look to see if they do take out because I would prefer it to an Indian on a Saturday night at home. This restaurant was a very welcome surprise you won’t be disappointed.”

“Great local cafe serving a lovely cup of tea, just what you need to perk you up when your out shopping. My husband loves the coffee. Lovely selection of fresh sandwiches and of course Bap’s. The cakes are just gorgeous, try the toffee and walnut loaf, who could resist that! Definitely worth a visit. Updated 3rd Feb Enjoyed a delicious take away latte from Bap today. Great to catch up with Marta, who is still smiling through the lockdown. Looking forward to trying my Gin with rhubarb and ginger, sounds delicious and made in Altrincham. Always good to see business coming up with innovative ways to keep going through these tough times. Seeing all the lovely big teddy bears sat at the tables in the cafe, really cheered me up.
