Worsley Stores
“Brilliant little place. Wine, beer and cheese are delicious. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting for a drink or to purchase some different cheeses”
Hug In A Mug
“Love this place, super friendly and relaxed, staff are really welcoming. Great menu (highly recommend the BLT), massive brews, delicious cakes.”
Avy Off licence & Convenience Store
“Support your local shops in these horrible times they need it more than bigger stores we don't want these shops going out of business they are lifeline when big stores are shut”
Co-op Food - Worsley Rd
“Ignore the 1 star reviews of this store. A lot of salty people who don't understand how retail works. Even during the covid pandemic, this store delivers a large range of items (from fresh fruit to home baking), friendly staff and most importantly good value for money. Some prices may seem a bit steep but what they cost in price they make up for in taste. Step in and ignore the haters.”
Ritas Off Licence
“Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They have been a godsend during covid and they always have well stocked shelves! Everybody needs to visit!”
Doggies & Moggies
“Doggies and Moggies have been my Maggies Groomer for nearly 3 years, its an absolute pleasure to be their client. Maggie comes home looking amazing. Collection and delivery service is also available and so convenient. Thanks Leoni and Team. Carla”
Mason's cafe/bar
“The staff were outstanding, a warm friendly welcome in spite of being at full capacity. The food is pretty decent too, I'm sure I'll find myself there again”
RHS Garden Bridgewater
“We came to the dog walking evening on the 27th of June. We had wanted to visit the gardens since they opened but this gave us, and our furry friends, the ideal opportunity to explore. What a resounding success it seemed to be. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next one in July. Everybody we spoke to said the same as us. The gardens themselves are beautiful and we all enjoyed exploring. It is a place that is ever changing and I would like to see it in the different seasons. I really hope the dog friendly evenings remain a regular thing.”
Cup & Crumb
“After a nice walk down the local loop line and a play on the park, the café in the village is a fabulous place to head for. Warm and welcoming staff, serving delicious hot and cold food. The kids love a nice hot chocolate and sticky bun. The traditional post office is still tucked in the corner for your convenience too. Thanks for being there, see you again soon.”
Lowrys cafe
“All the staff are welcoming and friendly. I go 1 to 2 times a week and get the same treatment. The food is always great and the latte is amazing, even when different staff members make it, it has the same consistency which is how I like my latte. If you are ever in Walkden pop in and give it a go.”
Lidl
“Our local Lidl is great. The staff are always friendly and the shop is always super clean.”
M&S Foodhall
“Plenty of free parking, convenient location... What else is their to say? Oh yes... the food is really good, the staff are helpful and pleasant too. Selected boxes of biscuits are buy one get one free at the moment. Also the Christmas food to order booklet is out now. Some things are pricey but the quality of M&S food is worth it.”
The Food Warehouse by Iceland
“Great shop, Iceland need to staff it propery, there was an incident of theft, yet the staff couldn't get the stock back as understaffed. Come on Iceland, the savings in preventing theft must pay and extra member of staffs wages. We have security in a smaller Little Hulton store yet not in the larger Walkden store. Madness!”
Co-op Food - Ellenbrook
“Don't shop at this co-op too much,it isn't my local, but when I do pop in during my travels, they usually have what I'm looking for. Parking here is quite limited!”
Screwfix Walkden
“Absolutely amazing service at screwfix Walkden came in for a pair boots. The team couldn’t have been more helpful left with new boots and work trousers. Keep up the good work.”
