Each of the suppliers they provided were amazing and provided a excellent service. The wedding day at Wincham Hall went perfect and everything went so smoothly. Not a thing I would of changed! “After reading negative reviews on here, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was really impressed by Townfields. It's not cheap but it's a proper restaurant and all such places cost these days. The point is, it's worth it. I considered removing a star for the staff being nothing like as knowledgeable as they should be for the standard of the establishment. But I decided that would be churlish. The service was good, it was friendly and it was quick. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil, just right for a quiet night out. The food, though, is what stands out. The two of us ordered different things over three courses and all six dishes were top quality. A bit different, beautifully presented and memorably delicious. Definitely recommended.”

“Easily my favourite curry house. I order the madras or balti, and both are filled with flavour and have the right amount of spice, and the spice doesn't overpower the flavour. Good size naan breads and fillings. Friendly staff.”

“Went today for late breakfast, was delicious. A bit time waiting, busy but staff was amazing and friendly. Didn't catch up any names, but all need a big pay rise working really hard in the kitchen and cleaning tables. Just a little thing to customers tidy up after self it cost you nothing and will do a difference. Thank you for cookie, my daughter love it.”

“My baby girl attends Oakland’s and I have nothing but positive things to say. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming, you can clearly see lovely attachments between the children and the staff. My baby is very happy here and I feel like it’s a second home, it’s reassuring to know that she is in a nurturing and friendly environment. Lisa the manager is so approachable, she is always available for the parents, she is friendly and has a real passion for her role. I wouldn’t dream of sending my daughter anywhere else, I would highly recommend Oakland’s nursery.”

We take of our hats to a great young waitress “Alysson” who was really on the ball, eyes everywhere, ready to pre-empt the needs of her diners! We were very impressed. Pity the managers present didn’t show the same attention to their guests & were noticeably absent for most of the evening until a special guest arrived & they both showed keeness to impress. Sad that they might have been trying to impress the wrong guest!! The duck was lovely, the plaice was minimalistic at best and though tasty failed to satisfy. It was good to visit a restaurant experienced in the handling & drinking of champagne. Their prices were not extortionate & it was good to be served the bubbles into champagne flutes. Note to management: champagne pours better into chilled glasses...ours were hot-to-touch!!”
