“By chance I discovered this recently opened little gem of a cafe in Hale Village adjacent to the railway station. This cafe is on the second floor above an art gallery and is immaculately clean and simply but tastefully decorated. Very polite and attentive staff with a good selection of nicely cooked food and drinks at very reasonable prices. It is an ideal location to relax and meet your friends for a coffee or a light meal throughout the day.”

“Absolutely Incredible Experience. An old-fashioned business that knew what they had and knew exactly how to help. I needed circlips and screws that were a very unusual size, for a very unusual issue and was helped both on the telephone when I first called and then when I came in. Old fashioned, great service - help from someone that knew what they were doing. I'll be back and will tell everyone I know about them.”

“Really nice local theatre. Parking is available but spaces are limited, there is parking however around the theatre within walking distance. A bar and tea and coffee is available and they do have wheelchair access. Very entertaining shows and ran by dedicated volunteers. Proud to have this little gem in our town.”

“Small local theatre with good events and reasonable prices. Booked here to go to a panto at Christmas with 10 friends, cost a third of the prices of a panto at the main Manchester theatre. It was camp, funny and everyone loved it. Drinks were relatively cheap for Manchester too.”

It has a real community feel to it in that everyone is part of the Freedom Family, and Laura-Jayne is excellent at keeping the students engaged. “Fantastic place to enjoy a bite to eat with beautiful views, delectable dishes and wonderful and upbeat staff. Well worth a visit and right on the canal, a gem on the outside of the village. If you're travelling by car there's not much parking so try to find somewhere nearby or park in the village and walk down the canal. The were a good selection of choices available on the menu including a comprehensive number of drinks to choose from all for reasonable prices. It appears to be a popular destination but they do have plenty of tables so you may have a short wait but it's worth it. Outside by the canal most of the seating is for 2 people but there are a couple of tables for bigger groups on the side and out front. Inside there are plenty of tables, upstairs has great views. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. We will definitely be returning!”
