“Short version? Fantastic south Indian food, brilliant service and warm surroundings. Totally different to the one that was there before. Long version. Some of the best south Indian food me and the wife have ever had. This restaurant used to be something totally different called monal, we are local just being down the road. Tried it when it was monal, really dissappinting. Bad food and service, horrible atmosphere and very expensive. This is now under totally new ownership we were glad to find when we went in. We took in the menu and ordered a bit of everything that took our fancy. The curries we had were EXCELLENT. The naan, the onion bajis, the rice... All of it was high quality, cooked with care and fresh! So glad to have this place on our doorstep. The best bit? The Dosa! Incredible food. The whole place has a family feel and everyone was very welcoming. Thanks for a lovely meal, see you again soon.”

“Tried the special (Tomahawk) this time. Magnificent! The lovely waitress remembered I like my steak rare/blue and very tentatively informed us how to get the best out of the meat. STUNNING! “Took my family here over Christmas. 8 of us had a fantastic meal, great atmosphere, with pleasant and helpful staff. From the papadoms which were crisp and greasy to the starters (Lamb Chops) were perfection to the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi it was an awesome meal. Bottle of wine was given as a regular customer. Highly recommend this as a local Indian restaurant. Go and try it today, you will not be disappointed.”

“A great pub. One of the friendliest pubs in Swinton. Lindsey is a wonderful land lady and goes out of her way to ensure everyone is happy and has a good time. Lots of events going on games nights, karaoke, dancing. I always look forward to a night in there.”

“Went to the Boundary Stone for a family meal on Thursday 10/11/2022 it was our first time and already booked for next week. Food was very tasty and well presented we all enjoyed our meals. All the staff was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend very cosy.”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

We'll definitely be back here.....in fact we did come back for Sunday dinner....it was soooo tasty. Update: I've lost count of the number of times we've been back here. I've still to find another place that does a better burger than the House Burger....absolutely amazing.”
