“I would definitely recommend studio 85. Marie always makes you feel welcome and comfortable. She is a very talented hairdresser and knowledgeable with all the latest hair styles and hair products. Nothing is too much trouble for her. My hair is amazing and healthy since going to her. Always receive comments when I have had my hair cut and coloured. Exceptional hairdressers and wonderful lady. Thank you Marie for making my hair healthy again and being such a good friend. Cannot praise you enough.”

“This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

“We were in the area and booked last minute for Sunday lunch. We were recieved with a warm welcome, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The Sunday menu has a fabulous options from a variety cuisines. The food was excellent, a 10/10 per course. I will definitely return. Thank you.”

Definitely worth getting a membership if you go there a couple of times as you get this discounts am a number of things. Prices are for and the food offered is good quality too. “If this was in the Lake District it would be a star attraction. Fortunately it isn't, so it remains very quiet and relatively unvisited. The approach from Bollington, past the derelict and dangerous Ingersley Mill, is interesting but worth it. Combine it with walks through Rainow, along Kerridge Hill and a visit to White Nancy and you have an excellent outing. But don't tell too many people otherwise it will lose its quiet charm.”

“We had the most amazing bacon & egg butties this week. The service was excellent, the staff welcoming and the pub itself is clean and cosy. We took our dog with us and she was made very welcome and enjoyed the biscuits they gave her! Would highly recommend and will be visiting to try the Sunday lunch now!”

“Nice compact nature park with paths forming a few circular walks. A few ponds and a small stream running through. Cafe near the car park. Wheelchair accessible path from the cafe to 'Roscoe's roundabout'. A few non wheel friendly paths criss crossing too. Popular for dog walking.”

“Had a meeting and lunch here. The meeting room was very spacious, the tech all worked and there are plenty of plugs. Tea and coffee provided, along with some biscuits. Staff very helpful throughout. The lunch was nice too, not too pricey for quality food, had the seabass, calories printed on the menus which is very helpful. Pint of MPA on cask was in perfect condition!”

“Quick overview for three night stay with young child. Very helpful & efficient reception/check-in. Beautiful, clean, warm, well serviced bedroom. The only hot food available is bar food in the cafe. Such a let down! The little one largely only eats pasta & they ran out..crisis! Fabulous health club…surely the Spa bath is the most perfect in the country? Big, v warm, comfortable, sublime setup inc lighting/setting. Overall strongly recommend.”

“We booked a reservation for the Sunday lunch and needless to say the food was amazing, tasty and seasonal veg crunchy. Stayed overnight in one of the corner rooms, which was nice and clean. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly, cocktails were excellent. Thank you.”

“I had a work conference at this place. Beautiful building and very open grounds. Room was nice and modern but I heard they have some older looking ones too. Staff were helpful, friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay. A bit pricey but I'd probably go again.”

Mike had also ensured our request for a chair with arms was accommodated. Honestly cannot think of an improvement that could be made. So 5/5. Thank you”

“Jan has been taking my 1 year lab puppy for walks for a few months and he is a changed pup. He no longer pulls on his lead and his recall is amazing. This is simply due to the amazing work Treacle town hounds have put into him and the guidance they have given us as a family to continue the hard work. Cole adores Jan and we all 100% have full trust. Thank you for everything.”

“Visited the Five ways for an afternoon buffet following a funeral. The bar staff were attentive and professional, dealing with the initial rush quickly. I've not been in this pub for 40 years or more and was pleasently surprised how smart and comfortable the place had become.......the buffet was the usual fare but tasty and varied. Altogether a great venue”

“Can't fault them. Came here with my kids for a relative's son's birthday. They had a great time. It's also very spacious and very clean. Staff were extremely nice. My son was ill in the car before we arrived. They couldn't have been more helpful in getting him, me and the car cleaned up. Thank you.”
