“Lovely old fashioned pub in Altrincham where you can have a pint and chat with people without the distraction of phones. The organic beer is a must try and the stout is also very nice. The staff is very helpful and polite. They don't take card payments so remember to bring some cash”

“Having lost our way due to lack of continual Diversion signs, we called here just for a desperate comfort break. Lady behind the bar Lisa, gave me key to loo and even came to make sure I was OK. It was beautiful and clean and both staff and customers were very kind and helpful. Lisa even rang her partner to get best directions for us to follow to get us further towards our destination. “Great pub, I traveled from America, had a long train ride to my hotel and the Sawyer’s Arms was my first stop in England. What an experience: it’s a beautiful old school pub in the middle of Deansgate, with very reasonable prices, good food and pint selection and the staff was very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I ended up returning several times during my stay and I look forward to doing the same when I return to Manchester.”

“Load of us stayed her for a few nights for a family wedding and we had the best time ever. The staff are amazing, went above and beyond for our help and needs. the rooms are fresh and clean. Vending machine, extra tea and coffee etc, clean bedding and towels all at reception in case you need more. Pity the old rectory didn’t have the same standards.”

“Beautiful venue, very clean and modern. Stayed over night in a lovely double room. Which is almost brand new. Will definitely be returning. Stairs may pose a challenge for some but didn't bother me. Parking was great too and free.”

“We used the reception room at the back which was lovely, decor is modern an looks newly refurbished. Industrial look with scaffolding pole and planks to make the table, comfy chairs. Everything was super clean. Staff very friendly and constantly looking after us.”

“Enjoyed a two night stay at the coachman. We were met on our arrival by Lyn the new landlady. Both she and her staff were very friendly . Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent cooked breakfast provided on both days. Our room was clean and comfortable. We also tried the new Thai menu one evening which was also very good. Lyn has worked hard to turn around the pub,after it's previous owner had let standards slip. Well done Lyn and your team.”
