“Went for a family meal prior to nephew and his wife returning back to Canada. There were nine of us who orderd a variety of different meals. Everybody agreed food was excellent and because you can take your own drinks the overall price was very reasonable. I don't normally do reviews but on this occasion it's very appropriate.”

Barms were made fresh and took about 5 minutes. Barms were scrumptious! Bread lovely and soft, very fresh. Egg was dippy. Only slight criticism could do with a little more spam. Small step into cafe so maybe a struggle for wheelchair users.”

The spiced beef coriander dish was the best Chinese dish I've ever had, loads of fresh coriander, chilli and garlic. Duck in plum sauce was also beautiful. Everyone has an opinion on local takeaways, often varied but I can say factually that we have used Taj Balti for about 7 years and have been consistently happy with the quality, generosity of portions, friendly and helpful service, thoughtful touches. My partner is a fussy eater who will stick to what he likes and he rates their vegetable samber as among the best, also their raita, naan, lamb hoppers and chicken pakoras are particularly good. Plenty of interesting dishes to try from chef's special menu if you are a bit more adventurous than my partner.
