Tracey and her husband (landlord and lady) are really friendly, they take their time to get to know their customers on a personal level and are always amazing with our 2 year old son. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. It’s very quickly become one of our favourite local pubs as we just find it a really homely place. “Great place, very clean and some part has Chinese decorations which make it look good. Great food and taste fresh. Good news the place serve halal food which make it easy for everyone to eat. I ordered Salt and pepper chicken with rice and it was so delicious, tasted fresh and still hot to eat also had California crab which tasted really nice. The food portion is big enough to fill your stomach and and price isnt too expensive ot cheap but reasonable. Staff are are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back again sooner.”

“The Balti Palace has been a hidden gem in the heart of Glossop for many many years. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are bubbly, down to earth and friendly. The chef is superb and his style of cooking is authentic Indian. Great blend of fresh spices makes dishes taste that much more special. The owner is a very sweet humble and down to earth man with monumental people skills. This is deffo a hidden gem and its time that this great restaurant received the exposure it deserves and people come and try the amazing rich and flavourful food they have to offer. “First time at Akbar's today and I was very impressed! The food is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes cannot be grumbled at. Also, the giant "family naan" is a must have and definitely worth it - very tasty as well. The "Big un" challenge is very tasty and you get a lot of food for just under £15, definitely worth it! The food was very tasty and enjoyable, service was also quick and staff were friendly and helpful. Menu was quite extensive as well and has lots of options, vegans go elsewhere because none of your fake plant meat stuff is served here. Would definitely return. One bad thing I'd say is the size of the main eating area, it does seem to be rather cramped and the tables aren't that big either, because it's cramped there's basically people walking past your table the entire time, not the end of the world but when you're sat near a family of loud kids that decide to run around and knock into your table it does get annoying!”
