Sale Water Park
“If you like lake or that kind of water body, This place is a beauty. So serene. We picked some wild blackberries too.”
Fuku
“Went after the footy match and wow, it was certainly worth the wait. I opted for the Tokyo bowl. Chicken Katsy curry, rice, crispy seasoned chips, and a couple veggie spring rolls with a spicy/sweet dipping sauce. The rolls were lovely and crisp, but the dipping sauce really made them pop. The fried we great, esp when you dipped them in the Katsy curry. The chicken was well seasoned and had a nice crispy exterior. The only issue I have is there was hardly enough Katsy curry, so I had to order an additional pot! Please put a little extra curry on the dish guys! Nonetheless, reasonably priced and tastes great!”

Highfield Country Park
“Highfield Country Park worth visit & must visit to keep a park. In 2017, plans for redeveloping an area of Highfield Country Park were passed by Manchester Council. Friends of Highfield Country Park objected to this decision but were overruled. The park is suitable for all the family to go there for a good time picnics, walk, cycling and to explore the park. Probably you need a few visits to cover the whole park.”
Cathedral Gardens
“Hard to review a patch of grass next to the footie museum...but it held the food festival today. Lots of interesting stalls from Eritrean to Brazil etc. Two real ale bars. Had a good time. OK prices. Deposits on plastic pint pots but not plastic wine glasses. A few years ago the SS litter patrol fined a friends daughter for..taking a selfie! ...They stood up to take the pic and left their Coke can unattended for 30 secs.”

To round the day off we stayed in one of their beautiful rooms overnight followed by a fantastic breakfast. Not one guest had anything bad to say about the day, i would recommend this place to anyone.”
Norfolk Arms
“This is a very well located pub/hotel for visiting Glossop main street and the surrounding countryside. The room was a good size, recently decorated, with a good bathroom. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Breakfast was also available from 9.00am. The room and the food were very reasonably priced. Very nice helpful staff which made for an enjoyable stay.”
Navigation Inn
“Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Navigation Inn. Great food and choice of cask ales. Located a short walk along canal path to Whaley Bridge, and 3 miles along canal path to New Mills. Recommend lamb shank and beef hot pot with extra chunky fries which we had (see photos) ..No need for chips on the way home after that. Very warm and cosy traditional friendly atmosphere with low ceilings. Choice of 4 cask ales, including Timothy Taylor..See photos. B&B :- Four poster room very nice with new spacious ensuit shower. Stairs and landing work in progress re decorating but this didn't change our enjoyment in the slightest :) Breakfast amazing with all the usual choices cooked really well and any variation in menu not to much trouble. Will definitely return.”
