We love coming here as the location is ideal and the rooms are just what we need. All of the listing details are accurate, including the free on street parking outside!”

“We have stayed here a few times over the last couple of years and it is always a great experience. Clean, modern rooms and a good bar/restaurant. Perfect location for events at the AO Arena or if arriving via train into Manchester Victoria. Car parking is £15.00 for 24 hours (a five minute walk from the hotel). Lastly, the staff have always been friendly and professional. All in all it’s a great hotel in a great location for visiting central Manchester.”

“I had an amazing experience. First, the breakfast was delicious. Excellent food quality Second, the room was a complete apartment with kitchen, living room and laundry. Everything was clean and organized. Staff very friendly and helpful Location: 5 minutes walking to the Victoria station and a nice shopping center. Pool and sauna lovely I recommend this hotel 1000% and also the restaurant not only for breakfast but for dinner as well . Food is exquisite!! For sure I’ll go back for upcoming travels”

“Beautiful hotel in a great central location. The reception staff were amazing and the room was spotlessly clean. As other reviews have mentioned, there was a lot of noise at night from trains and people out on the town (this isn't something that bothered us personally and is to be expected for the location). I would definitely stay again and had a wonderful time.”

“Booked hotel through Secret Escapes for 2 nights.... more than exceeded our expectations. Friendly reception staff member on arrival together with concierge who took our luggage to our room . Lovely Riverside superior room spacious with all usual amenities. A very nice breakfast widechoice generous portions of food....again friendly service from restaurant staff. Great location short walk into centre of Manchester.. Well recommended.”

“I was greeted almost immediately upon entering, by a lovely gentleman who asked me what I was looking for. He spotted my awe in the vast size of the bottom floor. I was given a very warm welcome and felt like a VIP. Chose the stairs as I was not too high up. Amazing place, quite surreal in that despite its size, there is still a personal hospitality from all of the staff, not impersonal. I was blown away.”

This place is one of my favorites in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it. There on business. Room was spacious and clean, bed was lovely and comfortable and air conditioning in rooms was easy to use. Large walk in shower with complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner that smelt lovely. Ample options for breakfast. Would definitely stay again”

“Been a resident at The Slate Yard for nearly a year and couldn't recommend it more. Gym is brilliant, you feel so safe even in the middle of a busy city. “Stayed here for 1 night on 17.02.23 and I can genuinely say it’s the best travelodge I’ve stayed in. Very clean, breakfast was great and Big thank you to the Assistant Manager Abbie George for her professional, friendly and approachable customer service - especially considering we experienced a false fire alarm during the early hours which was dealt with and over very quickly. “We stayed here as we were going to the AO arena. We walked to the arena and got a taxi back. Tha taxi was £6.40. The room was airy and clean. We had a problem with the TV and the gentleman went above and beyond to try and sort it for us. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We will certainly be staying next time were in Manchester.”

“A lovely stay with a group of friends, good sleeping arrangements with single beds, lots of bathrooms and a great communal space. Wonderful view from the balcony over the river and park, clean and some thoughtful toiletries, hair driers and staple foods left. Would certainly recommend.”
