Habesha Restaurant
● Closed“Great, authentic Ethiopian restaurant within easy walking distance of town and Piccadilly and Oxford Rd stations. The restaurant is up the spiral staircase which appears you enter Istanbul Kebab shop! Several Ethiopian couples were eating when we entered - which was encouraging. We ordered lamb tibs, and misir what with injera. Food was good portion size - we couldn't finish it - and tasted great. The waiter and staff were smiling and super friendly and helpful. The bill was very reasonable - recommended - will return.”

Platzki
● Closed“The food was really delicious and I loved the modern take on the more traditional dishes. It's different from all other restaurants I have been to (in the best way possible), and I found it quite refreshing and exciting to try dishes that aren't so common and easily found elsewhere. The food and the cocktails were beautifully presented (10/10 for aesthetic) and the staff were really friendly.”

● Closed286 Barlow Moor Road, Manchester M21 8HA, United Kingdom“Hidden Gem! Can’t express how amazing this place is! Really heart warming and wholesome food. You can definitely tell it’s cooked with tradition and love for their cuisine. Me and my friend ordered the fried chicken nasi lamek, kind prawn sambal, roti and chicken satay (the most tender and juicy chicken satay I’ve ever had in my life! Omfg) everything was unreal, cooked to perfection. We also got to chat with Aunty Lotus herself! Everything in this place really feels like your eating round your Malaysian / Asian aunties house! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.”

SUD Pasta Altrincham
● Closed“Is it the pasta or the sauce? Set aside any fears of school dinner Mac and cheese, Sugo is on a different level altogether. Having lucked out on getting a table after 2 years of living nearby, I relished the chance to review them. The space is warm but snug. Large parties will struggle especially with COVID restrictions. Not an issue in summer, but a possible one in Winter. They’re dog friendly as they have some seating outside, so please specify this when booking. Onto the primi piatti! Expect luscious pasta cooked to the correct side of al dente. It seems to inhale the sauces that make use of the starch and premium stock in lieu of cream. All making for a far more palatable meal. And the sauce. The term does not do the flavours and texture justice. The melange of spices and components be they vegetarian or not, are sublime. Just a taste of the seafood pasta alone conveyed everything in one bite. Not to be outdone, their beverage selection is nothing short of brilliant. The chinotto brought back fond memories of Kinni cola. Sadly I did not have time to partake of dolce but will endeavour to do so next time.”

Leopard Pie - Wood Fired Neapolitan Pizza

Yetti's Kitchen
● Closed“Hi Yetti, As I sit here eating leftovers from last night, I just wanted to say a huge thank you once again for your service. Over 6 months since I first contacted you and at all times you were so professional and replied promptly. The food was amazing, I really loved the plantain bruschettas, suya and jollof rice especially. The portions!!!! My goodness, I ordered food for 15 and we could probably have fed 50! We were able to make sure all our guests had generous portions and plenty to take home for all of us. Lastly, the food came on time and even when it arrived slightly later than projected, I was politely informed. The personalised birthday card that came with it was also a nice touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to book you ten times over!”
-
El Boliche
● Closed15 Northenden Road, Sale M33 2DH, United Kingdom“First time visit to this place and had a fabulous time. The menu has a really good selection of starters and tapas dishes to choose from. As a party of 4 we all chose 3 dishes each which was plenty, the food was really tasty and cooked well. I've had tapas at other places which haven't been as good as it was here. The service was very good as we didn't have to wait long for the dishes and they all arrived together. None of us had any desserts as was comfortably full after. We had the red house wine which was really good but a little on the expensive at £19.50 a bottle. The food is reasonable priced per dish depending on your choice but all the drinks such as a glass of small brandy is quite expensive considering its in Sale. They had entertainment on, 3 guys playing Spanish music which was very good as all live. I would return as we all enjoyed the food with good service.”

Sarah’s Yard
● Closed“Visited Sarah's Yard this evening - Food was honestly incredible. We had a lovely Greek meze, so tasty as often they can be bland when ordered elsewhere. Sally was the main person who we spoke to, she was so lovely and personable. We will definitely return and have already recommended to our friends.”
