"This is a tale of two halves. The restaurant is clearly catering for the surrounding area, and it's not particularly inspiring nor very Italian in its offerings. Which is a real shame as judging by the quality of the cakes on offer they could probably do an amazing menu of Italian cafe inspired food. Apart from that minor criticism, this place is great. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere inside is buzzing. As already mentioned, the cakes are fantastic. Their sfogliata and cannoli are a highlight. Being traditionally made Italian cakes, quite a few contain alcohol so worth asking before you order if you're teetotal. The best bit though is the delicatessen. It's by far the best stocked n the Manchester area. They have San Daniele prosciutto, all kinds of cheese including provolone and Bel Paese, and really good salami. Would highly recommend a visit here for the deli, and takeaway cakes while you're at it!"
