“Randomly found ourselves just outside Stockport this morning, wanting a breakfast. Google'd for a cafe and it suggested Flora. What a lovely find, the prices matched the food, excellent. First time I've been served egg & beans on toast as a toasted sandwich but I'll be making it that way for myself in the future. Coffee was fresh and smooth.”

“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”

“Strines Nightingale shows their is hope for an incredible venue, after death by annexed strangulation, that has been dished out by the corporate drinks industry to the independent pubs in the High Peaks. There’s nowhere you’d rather be locally. The type of place you’ll realise makes you want to relocate to the area. All whilst listening to music worthy of James Ford short. It’s effortless. You won’t be disappointed. A credit to the area.”

“A beautiful place with great atmosphere, very clean, tidy and stylish decor. Service is brilliant, friendly and professional. They do vegan cheese for the pizzas (plenty of options to choose from) and vegan Nutella for their dessert option (they also delicious lemon and raspberry sorbets). The pizza base is perfect, thin and crispy. The size is perfect and filled me up nicely when I was starving. The pizza is served with vegan garlic mayo, which is OUT OF THIS WORLD!”

“Went for lunch to celebrate a birthday recently and we were not disappointed. Served by a lovely sunny lady called Suzanna and nothing was too much trouble . Beautifully presented tasty food . “My absolute go-to for karahi chicken (on the bone. They have off the bone option also). Really generous servings and you can choose your spice level. Their rotis are the best too. Lovely amiable staff and the prices are more than reasonable, would be quite happy to pay more just for the service alone.”
