“I visited the Salon of Marple after looking for a new salon as my old hairdresser changed locations. The Salon of Marple staff were helpful from when I first enquired until after I had my hair styling appointment. Danielle the hairdresser was very professional and talked me though the process answering all my questions. She gave me recommendations of how to style my hair and which products would be best for me. Overall my experience was great here and I will be back when I can.”

“Honest, friendly and reliable, won't rip you off. Very reasonable prices. Much cheaper than Halfords autocentre. Only went in to get my suspension links sorted. I have now booked my MOT there as I couldn't find myself letting anybody else work on my car. Cheers Peter. One of the few outstanding mechanics left.”

“Wish ide take a picture but was to keen to eat! I'm vegan and had the vegetable skewer starter and then the aubergine curry, it all tasted so fresh and healthy. The husband really enjoyed his chicken saag to, he said it was full of flavor. Great prices with the discount to, good proper authentic food. Food hot when arrived and delivered by a lovley gentleman. 100% recommend.”

“Great place to meet. Away from everything else next to the barge boats on the side if the canal and next to the Lime kilns. Has a function room for hire, pool table, snooker table and darts.”

Unlike most Italian restaurants they offer a range of veal dishes which are excellent along with an very extensive menu of other dishes. They are always busy due to quality and value for money and you need to book.”

“Tonight was our first ever vist to Purple Pakora Marple. I have to say the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent, infact I would say it is the best Biryani I have ever had, my husbands Rogan Josh was also very tasty. Definitely will be back.”

“While I was on my epic quest, looking for vinyls in Marple I came across this charity shop. And I have to say it's really great. A lot of brand new items with low price tags. You don't see things like that being given for charity. And there's vinyl collection which is what kept me there for some time. Unlike most of charity shops you will not find there country music. Or classical music for that example. But it's not only vinyls. It's CD's or books. Or movies. Clothing too. You name it, everything is well sorted and you never get lost. Unlike more charity shops everything here got it's place. And it's well organised. I'm sure that in the future I'll come again. To browse through vinyls. Or do some clothes shopping for every day use. Well done British Red Cross. Example for charity shop should be run.”

“Martin has done a truly remarkable job of repairing and servicing my 20 year old plus Technics turntable SL-BD22D. The tone arm was stuck in the up position and the cue switch was unresponsive. As part of the repair and service Martin also discovered that there was an issue with the speed that the turntable was revolving and that it couldn't be set exactly. Fortunately, Martin had the part that was needed to fix this (they are now unavailable), he bought ten 20 years ago and now has six remaining. This is a man that is prepared. Delighted with the quality of work and amazing value. Highly recommended. Thanks Martin :)”
