“Great pub - genius idea - proper immaculate Victorian boozer (superb architecture) - as a student union bar. Tucked away amidst the increasingly impressive high rise MMU campus - it's a real oasis with decent ale and well priced grub (Inc selection of Pie Minister specials). Nice touch with a blue plaque inside commemorating Frank Side Bottom's last go. Well worth checking out.”

“I have always loved this pub and living in Sale we like to walk over via the water park. The pub is dog friendly as are we and the gentleman behind the bar tonight at 18.00 was very helpful and friendly. The locals seem very content in the pleasant surroundings and were happy to chat. “Zanete was so helpful when planning the buffet for my birthday party. Its a great room, nicely decorated with plenty of seating. We were lucky with the weather and able to sit on the outside decking, again plenty of seating. Great atmosphere and all staff friendly and helpful. “Nice staff and good beer. Update: Nov 2018. The place has a refit. It looks brilliant. Big bar, loads of seating, great beers and wines. Family enivorment, kids are welcome during the day. Nice vault with dart board, looks brand new. Same friendly staff. Same locals. Massive beer garden, you can bring your dog if it's on a lead. Next to a tram stop, wythenshaw park. Juke box. Very cosey. It's a Robinson's pub. Not food but you never know. Have good local pub things, like karaoke nights, singers, etc. If you have any questions just call, all the staff are happy to help.”

“I have previously visited Fairfield Arms in the past, I went again recently and took pictures of the front. The amazing work done to the amazing building is awesome. Dazzling and flickering Christmas lights, makes it looks like more of a 5 star hotel than a lovely pub. Always looking amazing with these views. Staff were so friendly when serving us.
