“Firstly I think it’s important to note this is a cafe that is connected to a family support centre and counselling service. It’s cheap and it is supposed to be somewhere accessible for people who access the services next door, as well as for anybody who uses the park. I actually came here not because of this but because I had attended a baby class in the adjoining room, so my friend and I had coffee and cake here. It’s a great little place, so cheap and the staff are friendly too. There’s a seating area outside as well for warmer days. It’s a lovely little cafe if you’ve had a walk in the park or want to meet a friend with your little ones. They also offer a range of food and I’ve-cream in summer, but we always went primarily for coffee and cake, both of which were always spot on. We used to go here every week after baby classes, and will continue to do so after Covid. This cafe definitely deserves our support so that it stays open in the future.”

“I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”

“The hotel could do with some updating however there are no real complaints with my stay. Ample room in the car park, the cooked breakfast was made to order with no restrictions on quantities and the staff were beyond helpful, friendly and accommodating. Check-in is normally 3pm however I needed the room sooner due to a wedding and they were happy to accommodate us. Would stay again if i needed somewhere to rest after a night out.”

“I'd initially booked a two week jaunt to South Africa for my Dads 60th and after months of uncertainty we got the call that it couldn't go ahead. Despite this, Black Opal had stayed in touch throughout the entire experience, reassuring us that they would do everything in their power to make it happen. Alas, it was out of their hands. Black Opal quickly arranged an alternative trip to Murrayfield to at least watch the Lions on home soil and what a day it was, we saw all of the players board the buses prior to playing and a stellar 3 course meal with guest speakers. We had great seats and the atmosphere was as good as we could of expected. Black Opal accommodated a payment method they did not previously accept for me to pay for the entire trip and we got great rates for the initial trip to South Africa and the revised trip to Edinburgh. I'd not used a travel operator before, but I can assure you reading this and Black Opal I do not intend to go elsewhere ever again for sports excursions. Special mention to Ben Collis for the initial handling of my enquiry but my utmost thanks and appreciation goes to Kathryn Morris who was instrumental in the handling of our initial trip when it was in limbo and arranging our trip to Edinburgh. I cannot recommend this group enough.”

“As a party of 6 we visited this fantastic restaurant for my daughters 14th birthday. Excellent in every way from the staff to the food. The service was top notch and the food delicious and plentiful, the chef even cooked up a dish not on the menu as requested by my daughter and finished the evening with a special treat for the birthday girl. Thank you La Filia for a truly wonderful culinary experience, you guys are doing yourselves proud”

“By chance I discovered this recently opened little gem of a cafe in Hale Village adjacent to the railway station. This cafe is on the second floor above an art gallery and is immaculately clean and simply but tastefully decorated. Very polite and attentive staff with a good selection of nicely cooked food and drinks at very reasonable prices. It is an ideal location to relax and meet your friends for a coffee or a light meal throughout the day.”

Also if your lucky enough to qualify for the delivery service they couldn't be more helpful, I called up the other night at 10pm to leave a voicemail to ask for a change to my delivery & Chris answered, I had to go away early the next morning so he said he would try his best to get them to me before I left & he did! The mélange of ingredients is astonishing. Great selection of wines, including a Sicilian Grillo which I enjoyed a lot. “Nice wetherspoons pub in the middle of Altrincham. We had food and drinks but they messed up the order so only 3 of the 4 meals arrived together. They didn't charge us for the 4th and put it top of the list. It's cheap, simple and tasty fair. It's nicely decorated and was popular when we visited on bank holiday Monday afternoon.”
