Carrington Grill
● OpenMottram Saint Andrew, Macclesfield SK10 4QT, United Kingdom““Utterly Gorgeous” - great menu, strong flavours presented with exquisite perfection. We take of our hats to a great young waitress “Alysson” who was really on the ball, eyes everywhere, ready to pre-empt the needs of her diners! We were very impressed. Pity the managers present didn’t show the same attention to their guests & were noticeably absent for most of the evening until a special guest arrived & they both showed keeness to impress. Sad that they might have been trying to impress the wrong guest!! The duck was lovely, the plaice was minimalistic at best and though tasty failed to satisfy. It was good to visit a restaurant experienced in the handling & drinking of champagne. Their prices were not extortionate & it was good to be served the bubbles into champagne flutes. Note to management: champagne pours better into chilled glasses...ours were hot-to-touch!!”

Whilst there may be fancier food out there, this place is perfect for a tasty, affordable treat. Great price, good taste, and quick service.”

Shanghai takeaway
● Closed47 Oldham Road, Ashton-under-lyne OL6 7DF, United Kingdom“I've been here twice recently (once drunk), and both in the rain, though that's hardly relevant. These guys have accommodated my request of a non menu meal thrown together in a tray I can carry and eat whilst walking (one time stumbling) home. The foods always been fresh, hot and delicious. Check it out. For the record, it's a tray with chips, battered chicken balls and satay sauce. It's about £7 and well worth it!”

Lostock Wines
● Open10 Lostock Road, Urmston, Manchester M41 0PS, United Kingdom“Staff are extremely helpful, great shop selling your daily necessities- milk, sugar etc to your evening tipple. And all at great affordable prices. Staff have worked so hard through this lockdown, and all so that we can have a drink at home during these extraordinary times!! Well done, great service too. Tracy and the day staff are all so lovely and go above and beyond to help in these unprecedented times. Also if your passing, I'd advise you always just nip in as some of the bargains they have on their beer and wines are not to be missed. I would like to just add that for any wine connoisseurs out there, again it's always worth nipping in. Half of the shop is dedicated to wine and the range is amazing from the budget bottles we've all bought at some time to the high end wines. You name it they have it and generally they are cheaper than the supermarkets. Can you tell I love this shop lol, staff always have a smile and a nice word or two. They make my day, or night as the case maybe. The young man Vlad (forgive me if the spelling is wrong) again goes out of his way tJuzst nothing bad I can say about Lostock Wines xx”
