We take of our hats to a great young waitress “Alysson” who was really on the ball, eyes everywhere, ready to pre-empt the needs of her diners! We were very impressed. Pity the managers present didn’t show the same attention to their guests & were noticeably absent for most of the evening until a special guest arrived & they both showed keeness to impress. Sad that they might have been trying to impress the wrong guest!! The duck was lovely, the plaice was minimalistic at best and though tasty failed to satisfy. It was good to visit a restaurant experienced in the handling & drinking of champagne. Their prices were not extortionate & it was good to be served the bubbles into champagne flutes. Note to management: champagne pours better into chilled glasses...ours were hot-to-touch!!”

These guys have accommodated my request of a non menu meal thrown together in a tray I can carry and eat whilst walking (one time stumbling) home. The foods always been fresh, hot and delicious. Check it out. For the record, it's a tray with chips, battered chicken balls and satay sauce. It's about £7 and well worth it!”

Also if your passing, I'd advise you always just nip in as some of the bargains they have on their beer and wines are not to be missed. I would like to just add that for any wine connoisseurs out there, again it's always worth nipping in. Half of the shop is dedicated to wine and the range is amazing from the budget bottles we've all bought at some time to the high end wines. You name it they have it and generally they are cheaper than the supermarkets. Can you tell I love this shop lol, staff always have a smile and a nice word or two.
